Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kenshin had decided that it was a great day to go out and train outside of the village. It had been a while since he had trained by himself. In the village, he could not go all out. He also had to hold back because he was teaching students in both one on one sessions and classes. He preferred the one to one sessions. Getting to know his students and to see if they were truly ready was the best training. With how many people are in classes, however, it was easy to see why the class style was preferred. Still, he wished for more one on one training.

However that was for another day. For now, Kenshin would focus on himself.

He waved to the shinobi on guard at the gate. He smiled until he was out of sight and then took off in a direction. When he could no longer see the walls of Leaf, he stopped. It was a small clearing with a large stone standing to the side.

'Good enough for me. Hope no one minds.'

And so Kenshin began to his workout. First, he would limber up with some stretches. From the stretches he would go to 100 push ups and 100 pull ups from a near by tree. He began alternating his practices so he felt the burn in each area he worked but did not over do it. Push ups, pull ups, laps around the clearing, using the stone as a punching bag. With each hit, the gauntlets that were passed down in his family made a clanging sound. With each rotation, Kesnhin moved a little faster and before long, he had to up the amount of exercise in each rep. 100 became 150, then 200, then 300. He reached 500 in 15 minutes and then 1000 within the hour.

With a grunt, he finished his last push up and then jumped onto his feet.

'Now is the time to do something more vigorous.'

Kenshin would weave a handsign and form a clone. Nodding to himself, he filled the area with a crystal maze. Soon, the sound of combat could be heard from inside the maze as his clone began attacking him while Kenshin tried to dodge and counter attack. His clone was easier to defeat then himself but still, Kesnhin would reuse the jutsu and fight his clone again. The sun was high in the sky when he defeated his 50th clone. Exhausted, Kesnhin went over for a nap at the base of his practice punching stone.

As he napped, he dreamed about his time training in Stone and how his old teachers, his various family members, would constantly make the training harder and how Kenshin would fail at first and then overcome the next time. He smiled in his sleep at he remembered his aunt attacking him while he was on the toilet with a longsword. Her words of constant vigilance rang in his ears to this day.

He woke and found that the sun was still in the sky but clearly on its way down. Kenshin would have abut 5 hours of daylight left and so Kenshin began his training again. Instead he focused on using various jutsu to see if he could make it better. His fire jutsu was on point as usual and his explosion jutsu was just as deadly. The boulder that had been his punching bag had been reduced by half due to the jutsu. His crystal jutsu was still his pride, not including his taijutsu which was his best, that allowed him to do many deadly things. Beautiful and deadly, like they were.

Kenshin shook his head. No reason to think about those dark times. It was better ot keep his eyes and mind in the present. He was a shinobi of Leaf and he was going to serve his new village to the best of his abilities.

Satu the pup was wandering around in the woods, why he was far from home he couldn’t tell. His nose caught onto a scent that just seemed to entice him to travel and find the source. The scent made his nose and his tail wiggle, tongue hanging low from his mouth, slobbery and wet, his rounded pearly brown eyes shifted from left to right. And his fur glowed red with hints of brown in the sunlight. Darn his little nose, he was being scolded by the pack for wandering but the lot soon left the little pup to wander and fend for himself.

He wandered, trotting, stopping every few yards to sniff his surroundings and mark his path back to his pack of canine ninjas. His wiz was a light yellowish orange, possibly from his last meal, which wasn’t so healthy for a canine but what did the little pup care about that for? What tastes good belongs in his belly, and something in the air was tasting mighty delicious. On all fours, he would lift his head up sniffing, and licking the air. ‘It’s getting cloooooose.’ And so the young one kept trotting on, deeper into the forest, he wasn’t afraid of any danger. ‘Get bit!’ Was the thought coursing through his mind.

The sun began to set, rumbles like thunder in his stomach occurred. It was getting late, soon he would turn around to follow his marks and return to his pack since the journey was a complete waste, or was it? He heard sounds of rustling, clashing, thumping, voices? Whatever it was, it was the spawn of this heavenly scent that captured his young nose so long ago. From his position he crouched with his front legs, but and tail wagging high in the air, a rather playful stance. That was before he jumped into the trees out of visibility.

In the trees, he would peep out from a from the branches and look over the distance, he could see someone fighting himself, or a twin, whatever it was. Enough watching lead him to understand the man was creating clones and fighting them. ‘Very clever, that is a smart shinobi we have dow-‘ He sniffed fervently, hard, long, even so he rustled the leaves high in the tree causing some to fall and some minor scuffles to be heard, the scent was attacking his nose as if to overcome him and he fell flat, limp into the tree almost sad, tongue out. ‘Man, I want that, whatever it is… It smells so goooooood.’ It seemed to have come down from where the man was training.

He would rise onto all paws again and ready himself in a pouncing position wiggling his butt. Just before he could, the ninja started experiencing with ninjutsu and made mince meat of the area and boulders in his vicinity. The pup barked, he couldn’t hold back, and he revealed himself leaping from the tree and landed smack dab on the ninja’s face like a ball of warm fur and glomped him. If he would have successfully landed on his face, the ninja would have been caught off guard and fell to the floor, subject to the dogs wiggling and licking.

“Come on come on come on, it’s you isn’t huh bub? You got the goods don’t ya? Come on, hand it over, I just might show ya something nice eh?”

The dog sat on his hind legs with an open paw outstretched to him and a tongue hanging from the side of his mouth. His fluffy tail would’ve been wiggling underneath his bottom uncontrollably.

Kenshin had experienced many things as a shinobi. He had seen a man of light soaring through the sky, people who could sink through the very earth, and knew of those who could bring puppets to an almost lifelike and deadly state. Shinobis had no limit on their imagination when it came to killing each other. Out of all the things he had experienced, he had never been attacked, and surprised by a tiny, talking dog. A puppy really.

Kenshin had been training and had noticed the leaves rustle. Normally, it was not a problem. Some animals were curious enough to get close. The woods were rife with life beautiful in their own way. He was not, however, expecting a puppy to land on his face, causing him be knocked down and really not expecting a talking dog on top of that.

'Strange. The last ninja dog I saw could not talk. But this one is way cuter.' Kenshin thought a little sheepishly. Kenshin always loved dogs. He guessed it was the loyalty in them. He had a few dogs growing up. Some of them were trained military dogs used to harass and kill enemy soldiers. There were also hunting dogs that he helped trained.

"Hey there little one what is your name? And what is that about handing something over? By the way the name is Yuu Kenshin of Leaf." He said awkwardly never introducing himself so formally to a pup. "But what is it you want? Some of this?"

And so Kesnhin would offer a few things to see if the pup liked it. First he started off with some food pellets. Dogs loved food and that nose seemed to be in overdrive. Regardless if the pup would take it, he would still talk.

"What are you doing out here alone? Don't you have some pack members? An owner? Why come to me while I was training?" he said while he would be trying to respectfully pet the pup.

He wondered. Maybe it was chakra he smelled? Ninja dogs could do that.

If the food didn't work, Kenshin would form a little chakra into his hand and try to tempt the dog with that. If he wanted something physical he could form a chuck of crystal blue as a sapphire.

The pup sure caught the man by surprise, but immediately after his entrance he would sit straight up, back erect like a pillar with his ears pricked high and attentive. Yes, there was something about this ninja, something about him that made him distraught to think his superiors would not pick up on this. He for sure hadn't stumbled across some random ninja.

The ninja was quick to assess that the pup was friendly and had no intention of stirring up trouble. What made the pup revert back it's playful mood was his immediate greeting, no complaining, no yelling, but rather a sensible, calming tone that the pup was familiar with. He could easily assume this ninja was keen to canine behavior, yet another plus this pup already picked up on the man.

"Satu."

He answered immediately. He asked more questions but as he did and spoke his name, Satu only sniffed him all over vigorously. Catching onto his scent in an instant. Kenshin then put a hand of pellet food which he acknowledged with a sniff and a nod saying no. Although, it was tempting he gave it a long gaze and barked lightly. The ninja continued to talk and badgered the young pup about his whereabouts and family along with more questions of which he huffed at.

"Heeeeyyy big guy, how about I ask the questions around here, eh?"

Satu started twitching, his Chakra sense was resonating, almost rattling his fragile puppy rib cage. The ninja was infusing chakra into his palm and the dog was excited again and started running around in circles as if chasing his tail. This was sure a reputable ninja.

"There there there! That there, what you got there! Your chakra!"

He calmed himself once more, and sat down rigid as a tree trunk. He pawed at the shinobi for a moment, tilted his head peering into his eyes and nodded. This was the guy for sure. Satu would raise his paw, almost like a fist bump.

"Put it there! And I'll race ya to right over there. There's a mountain range, meet me at the base. But, I'm smaller. I get a head start. Also, I'll be leaving clues of my superiors so that you are familiar with their names. At the gates, if you fail at the introduction. I won't be able to help ya... So, show me your tracking skills!"

The pup took off dashing into the woods, from where the stood it was west, toward the setting sun that was darkening the sky.

Kenshin watched the pup act like pup but also a person. The shinobi world. filled with violence, sometimes made the most miraculous things. Satu eh? Cute name for a cute pup.

Sure enough it was the chakra the pup wanted. Well that was easy enough. He watched him run circles and seem to become even more excited. What was even more surprising was that he was challenged to a race after the fist bump, which Kenshin did very lightly in return. He nodded the pup at the request of the pup.

So a head start? Fine with him. While he was no ANBU, Kenshin had secretive missions before. Tracking was a basic skill after all. Kenshin gave the pup 5 minutes. Kenshin was sure he was a fast dog, being so small and obviously special. Too much time and he would be gone. Normally he gave students 15 minutes head start in challenge he gave them where he became involved later on. It was only fair... most of the time. Until then he would wait, resting on the balls of his feet thinking about the oddity of the situation.

Five minutes later, Kenshin simply approached where he saw the pup disappear. He would find a footprint if able and follow it. Every few feet, he would deliberately break a small branch or make some other mark where he found a footprint. Along the way, he would also focus in on any other marks the pup made, such as branches being broken for Kenshin thought the pup was stronger than he looked and could do some damage if he wanted to.

Even as the sun grew darker, Kenshin would use a little bit of fire jutsu to create a small light long enough to study an area before extinguishing it. He would also make sure to see if he could smell the pup. While not the best sniffer around, his pets had made sure that he had some of Satu's fur on him.

And so Kenshin would continue his tracking of the little pup Satu and whatever else would come his way.

Kenshin gave the pup what he needed. And in the allotted time he would have to pass his first test by tracking his way back to the dog pack. Of course, he would leave clues of his trail just like any other animal would. Scent, trail, messages scars in the tree barks, broken twigs, patches in the ground. All clues he'd have to pick up on a determine which one is Satu's path, or just a stray animal. The skies grew dark and the ninja made use of his chakra by lighting a flame in his palm and guiding myself. As Satu lead the way back to the pack, he huffed at the ninja's cleverness once more. He found the prospect to be a good candidate but still, that would be up to the discretion of his elders. But even then, isn't this what they not prophesied? And Satu would be sure to get the all the treats he could stomach for finding him, so he was excited. On one specific tree he etched a name with his nail, it would read, 'Eiki'. That would be the name of one his elders, the next person he would have to impress.

As he lead him closer to the ravine where the canine pack coalesce. Here is where the canine's would train, relax, and live life outside of being summoned by ninja's for help and tasks. As Kenshin would get closer, he should be able to notice several more tracks from dogs, possibly confusing him. With this, Satu left a personal message by freshly engraving 'S' on trees with his own marking to personalize his scent on the 'S'. At the ravine, a giant passing between two mountains, a large downhill slide would be seen, with careful treading one could slide their way into the narrow path and enter the pastures of the canines. Satu would be sitting atop a mountain top next to the ravine waiting for Kenshin to emerge from the forest.

"Just down here, and you'll have to talk to my Auntie, Eiki. She's a bit stiff, but the right words usually will loosen her up, eh? Well, if she introduces you into Ezo, you should be good to go. I just wouldn't look her in the eyes on the first greeting. She's one of those ALPHA types."

The pup joked and snorted, prodding his paws at his mouth and pointing a small one back at Kenshin with a bark. He then lead the way into the ravine by jumping down the slide and it seemed almost fun to the pup winding down into the meadows. He would fall into tall grass and tumble barking lightly, which could easily be interpreted as dog laughter.

Kenshin found the marks with no problem. Being a seasoned Jounin, the marks were made obviously and deliberately. At least the pup was honest or he was until this point. He came to the tree with 'Eiki' marked into it. Making note of that, Kenshin would push on until the world narrowed. It was around here Kenshin was confused because there were obviously a lot more dogs. When he saw the cheeky little S, deliberately placed there, he knew that it was highly unlikely that an animal made that mark. Kenshin wondered if it was a clue or just pup mischievousness.

Kenshin knew that this was a secret place. Not many had traveled here and he could definitely tell buy the lack of human marks. How long had this ravine been here? How long have these dogs been here in secret? While awed, he still paid attention to the pup. So he was to enter and talk to the next dog? He doubted it would be such a light conversation. A bit stiff? Right words? hmmmm. Kenshin would mull it over. He would quickly and quietly enter the ravine being lead by Satu making sure his jutsu was ready at a moment's notice although it seemed that Satu at least was good in his intentions. Kenshin would keep his eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary, which was tough to do given his current circumstance but he was locked into the 'polite yet hyper awareness of one who knew they were possibly in a trap with no way out especially after the slide leading further into the ravine.

The shinobi seemed to have tracked well, following behind Satu shortly and arriving in good time. The pup was impressed but again, the process getting here was yet another examination of the ninja's awareness, of which he seemed to show a lot of. Though the ninja seemed hesitant in trusting the pup he could understand, that is normally how are canines as well, he may just as might find that attitude of approaching with caution when he meets his elder family members. He showed true essence of a canine friend. They both slid down into the meadows where several more pups like himself would have been seen frolicking in the tall grass. They would play together playfully while some would approach Kenshin slowly sniffing his feet as if to catch scents on the places he has traveled. Some others jumped around reacting to his chakra as Satu did. Only a few pups sat up rigid at his appearance and looked at him from sideways eyes.

Satu would look back at Kenshin, this time his face was a bit more serious. He sniffed in the air and found a familiar smell. It was his one of mentors, no it was her. Selfish and possesive Koneko, had she come to steal the shinobi from his paws already. Before he could even begin to speak Koneko would leap from a vantage point into the meadows, a grayish brown coyote with splashes of sunset orange on her head, muzzle and paws. She was crouched low to the ground stretching, looking at the ninja would adoring eyes. She would slowly make her way over to him out stretching her tail high in the air, she had almost cat like seductive movements. All the other pups scattered away from her and formed her pack huddling together as Satu was pouting.

S: " Kone-!"

K: "Oh hush boy! I only wish to get familiar with my new, summoner possibly??? Hahaha, yes, you show much promise and prowess, this is true. But... Brother Ezo, and myself I guess you can say... We are only interested in the desires of your heart... The strength, of your will..."

Satu tried to speak but was cut short but Koneko was short of introductions and spoke to Kenshin circling around him sniffing him from the waist to his toes getting to know his scent quite well. She too began to believe and have hope that he would be the new one to guide the pack into soul search and deep bond with humans again. She would smack her teeth, snicker and pause. She was done with her little, inspection, she would find much to like about the ninja if he ever passed this test and needed Koneko for anything. Her loyalty was not to be questioned, for in heated battle would she would gladly throw her body in the way to protect her beloved summoner, but only, if he would display the same action of care. She looked away from him and darted off rather quickly, deeper into the meadows that seemed to sink into a canyon.

S: "Well... That, was sister Koneko. Uh, she's weird but, very helpful. She isn't the worst, I'll say that haha."

Her now absence brought ease to the young ones who frolicked once more, Satu beckoned Kenshin to follow him as he trotted onward, toward the canyon where Koneko was headed. The pretty meadow would soon become rocky and more earthy from the canyon terrain with very few flowers having enough strength to crack the solid foundation and bloom. Everything seemed to be fine, an eerie chill would breeze by though, probably the only ominous thing next to Koneko's random entrance.

Kenshin was apparently in pup paradise. They were joined by more pups at the end of the slide. Even though he was approached by some, he first let them smell his hand open palm up. First they would smell it normally and then the second (and third and fourth) would be with a little bit of chakra in his hand which Satu seemed to like well enough to draw him to him. He would pet those that wanted it and simply smile at those trying to look away.

Before long they were joined by another dog... no a coyote. Similar but definitely more dangerous. He looked to Satu a moment wanting to make sure the pup was ok but soon the one before them was speaking and circling. As she spoke, he heard summoner. He remembered a conversation on the outskirts of leaf and a young medical ninja summoning a little creature. Was this it? Was it a test for a summoning contract? Curious.

As the coyote finished her circle, Kenshin would bow, hands out palms up, but not loosing eye contact with her As he did, he released some of his chakra to make sure she could sense it.

"I am Yuu Kenshin, eldest son of the Yuu family. My will is strong, my feet fast, and my loyalty sound." Kenshin would say to the coyote even if she was walking away knowing that she could hear him. He would keep his head bowed until she was no longer looking at him.

He was given a name and that she wasn't the worst. Was that a good or bad thing? Time would tell. He would follow at a reasonable distance to the pup not that there was much greenery around for him to dart into. Still, Kenshin remained on edge and shivered a little bit despite it being a warm day. Something else was going to come. However he was on a mission and he was going to complete it. He would be wary but alert. It was well known in Stone and now it was well known in Leaf, when Kenshin set his mind to something it got done. Shirking his duty never crossed his mind.

Satu lead the man into the canyon, the terrain would become rough, this wasn’t the lounging area like they had seen before, but this would be the land where training, meetings, initiations, and other formal and informal gatherings were held, the mainland if you would. In here there was many other canines, some large and stout, others small and petite like Satu, some in the middle still growing and showing signs of exuberant youth. Each one of them would pause and look at Kenshin for a split second before returning to whatever it was they were doing. Satu didn’t say a word, this was just familiarize the group with the newcomer so that he is not to be randomly attacked as an intruder, but rather, the destined prospect Satu was sought to escort.

Satu figured he was chosen for this role because anyone else might have been too stern on the Shinobi and cause him to have doubts, that may later muster into distrust and disloyalty, which is what the canines didn’t want to see, or churn from the beginning as result of carelessness. The Shinobi deserved a fair chance, and Satu would give him that one. He noticed earlier his reaction when Koneko first appeared, it was a sixth sense for canines to sense and feel human emotion. Satu definitely felt what Kenshin did, and I’m sure Koneko did as well. He was sure to pass this test with flying colors.

Along the way, Kenshin was free to introduce himself as he liked, the path they took was around the edge of the mainland, where soon it would lead to a hidden stairway which they took, two flights of stairs down and on the way would have been visuals engraved on the rocky walls by canine claws of past greats.

At the bottom it was low lit, seemed like a Shaman’s work shop with a particular stench, decorative ritual arts, a man cave. Satu would lead the way down to the final steps into a small room, the door he would push open by leaning on his hind legs and using both front paws to push it open into a hallway, where both left and right lead to separate larger rooms. It was almost like a maze down here.
Suddenly before them was a stout Husky. Copper red all over with a thick shiny coat, white muzzle and stomach region with bushy curly tail was waving rather slowly behind him. He said nothing just sat upward and rigid like stalwart companion that he prided himself to be. His stern deep eyes was staring down Yuu Kenshin.

“A series of questions before you pass, if you will, young wise Shinobi. Satu, you did well. I am Akihiko, I will be the one to discern your resilience, and your will."

Kenshin followed Satu, again at reasonable pace. As they entered the more wild and uneven area, Kenshin made sure that he did not appear weak, but opening to those who were. Each step was deliberately equal and steady. Pals up at his side, he would release chakra just enough for them to sense but not enough to be threatened by. All the while he would keep his head straight and would only return a side eye and nod to those that did not approach. Should one approach curious, Kenshin would slow down a pace and present a hand to smell, again palm up, to each dog that would approach. He knew this was a dangerous situation the moment he stepped foot in it. Should they wish to kill him, they could because while Kenshin was strong this was a pack and they would be willing to die for each other and they would without hesitation. Kenshin felt similarly about his students and Leaf. He would sacrifice his life for his students without a second thought and smile as he did so. They were the future and without them everything was useless.

Kenshin would make sure to keep up with Satu and follow him into a danker place full of smells Sage? Thyme? Or something more ancient? Who knows how long this place had been here and would continue to exist after he he was dead and gone. They were greeted by another dog a beautiful husky.

Kenshin would do similarly what he did with the coyote, a bow without breaking eye contact, palms open and leaking chakra.

"Greetings Akihiko, I am Yuu Kenshin eldest son of the Yuu family, shinobi of leaf. I will answer what questions you ask and I will prove my will is worthy. I humbly await your questions."Kenshin would say

Akihiko is as greeted with a bow and a display of chakra, this of which he rose his muzzle at. He wondered why the Shinobi would do this, but quickly shook the thoughts and gave a loud snort, exhaling a wind of breath. Akihiko bowed down and Satu and waddled over as he whispered to Akihiko. Satu nodded and trotted off as if to retrieve something. Akihiko then returned his gaze to the man.

His large marble like hues examined him from head to toe, he also took note of his chakra which proved his intuition of the ninja's prowess. But even then, just cause he was strong didn't mean Akihiko would follow him strictly because he was, 'strong.' He thought about his first question well, in deep thoight. Before he opened his mouth he cleared his throat and rose a paw pointing at Kenshin.

"Right. We canine are a loyal race. Loyalty requires a certain amount of trust, so in a sense, we trust worthy as well vigorous advocates of camaraderie. Without thought, without hesitation, we protect what we have come to love in any circumstance. There may even come a time, that you will require my assistance..."

He rose from his sitting position and began to pace backa and forth in front of him, his eyes never leaving the man's gaze, a stern look. All the while he paced back and forth he would slowly wiggle his curly bushy tail, like a stoic show off.

"Tell me, Yuu Kenshin, how can I trust that you will stick your neck out for me, as I am supposed to, for you?

Kenshin looked at Akihiko, keeping the gaze as he he pondered the question. This was a careful dog one who would only accept an answer that was truthful. Kenshin had met people... men like him. Old instructors like his grandfather who seemed to stare into your soul and would know if you lied or were deceitful. Kenshin avoid lying off the job when he could. Shinobi life was all lies and death. He gets his fill of that regularly and wants no more.

Kenshin's eyes would attmept to return that stare. This was to show who he was.

"In the leaf village, i am a top instructor for Academy Students. I am known for my harsh and unusual training patterns. Some call me sadistic but what I do I do not out of spite but protection. I... had an incident when I was a lower ranked ninja Kenshin faltered not out of thinking of an answer but because of a sense of emotion. Guilt. Sadness. "My squad was supposed to take out a small bandit group. Rogue shinobi who abandoned their village. Turns out it was an ambush and they were holding villagers hostage. My team tried to hold up but they fell one by one.... With each death I fought like I was possessed if I could just protect one.... Maybe there was a silver lining.... It was not meant to be. By the time reinforcements came, the bandits were dead and I was the only one left standing. I collapsed as they approached. I was bedridden for nearly a month. Ever since then I have trained. The body you see before you, these muscles, this chkara power that Satu found, it was not made for my vanity. I train so that I can protect those closest to me. I train students so that when they are faced with a position like I was in, they can survive and hopefully save at least one of their teammates. My power is for them to grow and should I have to, I will be their shield that will defend them in the most dire circumstances. I would die for my students each one of them even the ones that hate me. Without children there is no future. They are my pack if you will and anyone that touches them is dead. That is the loyalty you can expect from me Akihiko. I swear to protect you as you would protect me and I would be willing to die for you. I swear it upon my name, rank, and skill as a shinobi. This is my answer."

As Kenshin would finish he would bow deeply, exposing the back of his neck, a sign that he trusts the dog who could easily if he so chose to attack him in a place he could not defend and do massive amounts of damage. One blade there and it would sever the spinal cord. Instant death.

Akihiko listened with shoulders high and back rigid and Kensin gave his background. Initially from the jump, Akihiko could sense some stress coming from the ninja, almost as if what he was about to say had been a mental and emotional burden on the man. Akihiko too could relate to such feelings like these. Satu the young pup subsequently returned while this speech began. Akihiko acknowledged that Kenshin returned his gaze and allowed himself to be viewed entirely, from the inside and out. Whatever truth or lies in his words would easily be discerned through his eyes by the canine.

Kenshin spoke of his job title and quickly paused, as if to recollect himself. This made Satu pause as well, Akihiko just cleared his throat and waited for him to continue. As he did, Satu began to listen up as well, his job was done in delivering a message so he had some free time. Kenshin started to go on about some students he was once overlooking. He relayed his turmoils and Satu’s gaze fell to the floor, his puppy eyes watering at the man’s heart. Akihiko just kept his gaze which never wavered not even for a second. True, his story was sad and he could understand why he felt the way he did after everything was done.

Akihiko sighed as he completed the story. Although, he could say he was pleased with what he heard, it was still a sad tale to hear. And so he cleared his throat, while Satu the pup wiped his eyes with a paw and sniffled, walking over to Kenshin he prop his body down at his feet, halfway laying on his left foot. Akihiko snorted out some air from his nostrils at Satu did.

“Kenshin… Follow me…”

He didn’t say anything to his story, there was nothing to say. If he wanted some kind of form of approval his next action would speak for itself. He walked the way Satu did, left down one of the halls leading into a larger room. His bushy curly tail wagged slowly from left to right. In this larger room, it appeared almost like a study, many books, ancient texts on stone tablets, columns with dog faces engraved into the stone. In the middle was a large diagram divided into three sections with a large scroll next to containing the agreement to the contract. Akihiko would direct attention to the scroll.

“Force bleeding upon yourself. You have not succeeded yes, this is only for documentation that you, Yuu Kenshin of the leaf, have visited our land in search of a pact. This is the beginning of said pact. Your heart, and your strength has succeeded. I will need two signatures under the following in blood. The third… will have to wait. That bond will compose of both my brother Ezo’s blood, and yours.”

Akihiko would point on the scroll, two of the divided sections that needed a signature, they were blank and only the words, ‘Heart’, ‘Strength’, in the designated section. It left much room other signatures. Very few names were signed on all three, if Kenshin saw, most would only pass the strength test, few passing the heart, and even less passing the will.

Kenshin finished his story and bow to find that Satu had nearly laid on his foot and the pup seemed to have been crying. Crying for him? No one had done that in a long while not since they had passed, his beloved. That, however, was a story for another day. For now, before following the husky Akihiko, he reached down and pet Satu, speaking softly.

"Don't cry for me little one. From our biggest failures, the biggest chances to change can come. If not for that, there is a possibility that I would have never met you. So maybe, it was not all bad in the end. How many lives have I saved since then? Maybe I can save yours."

Kenshin would follow a respectful distance, his feet finding it slightly awkward but manageable. Again, he would not allow himself to falter now. Each step would be slow and deliberate. He would follow into the large library where a large scroll was located. He looked around amazed. He wondered what secrets were held here but as much as he was curious. However it was their place and he was a guest. Let hem keep their secrets until such a time they want to if ever share.

Kenshin heard the instructions and it was a simple enough feat to bite his thumb. From there, he would carefully sign his name so that whatever happened people knew that Yuu Kenshin made it this far. He was determined to sign his name on the third column. This next test whatever it may be dealing with Will would come soon enough and he would answer it in kind. Kenshin would wait, hands at his side, for the next part his eyes keeping an eye on any exits and entrance.s Whoever this Ezo was, he was sure to be the strongest or one of the strongest. An Alpha of a pack must be strong and wise. Kenshin would be sure Ezo was both and much more.

Kenshin willfully signed his name in blood, all the while Satu would be circling the two, constantly leaning on his hand legs, paw prying at Kenshin and Akihiko. Akihiko each time would shake Satu off almost annoyingly, the pup was always bright and cheerful. Even now Satu was getting excited about possibly having a new forever friend. After the signatures were done, Akihiko gave a sad look with his marble like eyes, shook his head and returned normal.

“Good, Kenshin again, follow me. It is time…”

Akihiko turned to walked through the hall, in the room they were previously in. In the previous room Akihiko sat, just like the way he was found when he and Kenshin first met. He looked over to Satu was rambunctiously running around again. Akihiko sighed looking at his young one, as almost worried. Akihko held his head down, although a small smirk was on his face. When Akihiko rose his face once more, he was serious.

“Remember your will… My last words of advice, protect Satu…”

He would disappear into the darkness of the room, walking off slowly. Satu tilted his head in curiosity, not knowing what Akihiko meant, or where they should go now. He thought Akihiko would introduce Kenshin into Eiki, guess it was his job once again. The pup shrugged, dashed at Kenshin and ran into his shin lightly, laughing playfully.

S: “Come on, let’s go!”

The pup lead him up the stairs back to the mainland, except this time it was completely empty. Where did everyone go? The pup looked up, the moon was full and bright, casting a large dim light on the mainland, though there was still many shadows. On one of the cliffs a four legged figure could be seen in a pouncing position looking at the two. Satu walked on, away from Kenshin calling out names of familiars, none of which answered and puzzled the canine. He was literally standing in the middle of nowhere, until that figure pounced from its high vantage point directly on top of Satu who was caught by surprise and immediately started whimpering.

It was a snow white animal, pearly and bright coat that seemed to be like its own shining moon in the night. This canine would turn its head at Kenshin revealed a black crescent moon on her forehead, and baring some of her wolf fangs. She would bite the excess skin on the back of Satu’s neck, like a mother, growl and run away, as if she had stolen the pup away from Kenshin and began to run off rather quickly, with wolf like speed and agility. She would lead Kenshin into a pasture where she would put Satu down and hover above him like a mother, protecting him.

Honestly, she knew her duty. His reactions would prove his connection and loyalty to Satu, one of the first steps in testing the strength of his will. How far would he go to defend his new friend? How deep was the emotion in Kenshin’s heart. Eiki had to know before he could meet her Husbando, Ezo. She would be seen growling, pawing at the grass and baring wolf teeth. Once Kenshin would have arrived, she would give a loud howl from deep in her throat that was loud enough to give off chakra energy in a flashing white light, easily distorting vision and mental clarity for anyone who would hear the howl, and catch sight of the blinding light. One of her Ninjutsu techniques, “The Moon’s Howl.”

Kenshin would follow as he had always done. The husky lead him, and Satu, back the way they had came and then parted ways with them with an ominous warning. Kenshin had an idea of what was going to happen so he stayed on alert his eyes dancing about. He smiled at Satu as to not alert him. The mainland was a nice change from the series of caves. Nice open air smelled good but it was oddly quiet.

"Satu I think...." Kenshin began before Satu was ambushed while calling out to his freinds. As he whimpered Kenshin shouted.

"Get away from him!"

The beast that captured Satu was white and looked like a larger wolf than Kenshin had ever seen. Still, it had taken Satu and as Kenshin began running, chasing after the beast, While running, his hands would fly together in handsign after handsign and as he focused his chakra coat of crystals began to form on his body so by the time he reached where the beast stopped with Satu, Kenshin was wearing a purple set of Armor that, with a shift, turned into a set of spiky purple crystals. (Amethyst Casing Master rank with Special Action)

Kenshin felt the howl go through his body. She was powerful. The creature was definitely a she, so beautiful but deadly. Still, she had something precious. Kenshin began to focus his chakra as he began to speak and slowly his voice rose and his chakra as he said his peace.

"Let him go. No one hurts those closest to me and lives to tell the tale. Let... hIM... GO! and a he shouted the last word, an almost howl of his own, an immense wave of chakra spread forth from his body (Devastating Aura Level 1) radiating to the white wolf. On top his always tricky aura that reduced what a person could sense, in which he focused on Kinetic this fight (Sensory Deprivation Aura Shadow Boxer) May that wolf feel extra sluggish.

If there was hesitation, he would sense it. His number one goal was to get to Satu and, if he should get there he would lay his body over the pup and let the wolf attack him to keep the pup safe. To get there, Kesnhin would have to be a bit direct in his approach which worked just fine. Kenshin would spurt forward showing that his will was strong. He would attempt 16 hits in a combo attack he was known for. (16 hit combo master rank) The goal was to hit and to confuse. Next, a spiraling uppercut would possibly hit the beast (Shoryuken Master rank) but after the attempt he would run towards Satu while weaving handsigns. Should the beast give chase, as he expected it would, he would turn and use a jutsu, that should the work, the would would find that a tree appeared from seemingly no where and ensnare the wolf, its branches closing around it while to anyone else the wolf would be standing still. (Tree Binding Master Rank)

His goal was the same. Shock and Awe and get to Satu even if he had to take the beats fangs and claws multiple times. Should he get to Satu, he would protect him and keep him between him and the wolf. He was now a friend and no one was going to hurt him.

The howl did little the slow the ninja down as Eiki retreated for distance. Instead now the ninja as encased in an armor and resonating his own chakra’s that with Eiki’s heightened senses seemed like nails on chalk board on the insides of her mind. Her Super Snout could easily detect interruptions in nature’s balance through her hearing and smell but they seemed foggy at the moment. She would stop to turn around, Satu still in the clutches of her jaw, much like a Mother if Kenshin would notice. He was coming at her fast like a crystal warrior with a roaring combo of many consecutive strikes, and though she was agile she wasn’t able to dodge the first, or the second and they kept on coming.

She spewed the youngling from her mouth and staggered, only for a split second before she gathered herself on her hind legs once more and pounced. Kenshin was coming with an uppercut of which she evaded with her jump to the side of the outstretched arm, clasping onto Satu once more at the back of the neck. She would try to retreat again only to find her footsteps caught, in vines? Yes, she was captured from grappling vines that seemed to breach from the Earth below and ensnare her in a trap, immobilizing the large wolf who howled and whimpered, Satu was freed and fell to the floor with a ‘plop.’ He recovered immediately and began to jump at the bounded wolf, barking with a high pitch of concern. Everything what just spawned was strictly out of misunderstanding, and it made Satu wonder if Akihiko and Ezo had planned all of this from the beginning. The pup continued to whimper.

As for Eiki who found it extremely uncomfortable bound and battered, howled at the top of her lungs to the full moon, who’s light seemed to reflect an illuminous glow off her snow white coat. Her howl bellowed all throughout the mainland and echoed, this call, would have even awakened the Alpha Male, who was some distances away in a cave peacefully asleep, until now. The binding of the ninja was great, it was able to sustain her wolf form, as she struggled and struggled more. The bindings would have become loose and Kenshin would have much time to converse with Satu about the current events. Satu kept barking and whimpering at the wolf.

It would appear that Eiki didn’t speak the language of humans, or maybe she wasn’t fond of it because her heart was the epitome of canine pride, and she would only speak through body language, as canines do. As Satu tried to plead with her within her the natural code of language she would only grow more into a fit, exuberating much more energy exhausting the strength of trees binding her. Her glossy, marble blue wolf eyes met the gaze of the full moon. Low and behold her mother like fervor would give her the strength to free herself from the vines and she would leap some distance away from Satu and Kenshin. The moon crescent on her forehead turned a pulsing neon black, almost shimmering. Her body was coated with thin silver like glow, this would heal her wounds from Kenshin’s furious combo earler, and this would also activate a transformation. Her silver glow began to emanate a bright and powerful blinding white light. Those of a sinful heart and wills of deceit would find this light overcoming, and immediately submit to it. This light burst, reflecting even more off her bright fur and her aura was almost God like, and she rose on her hind legs, her figure shaping itself into a more human form, a true werewolf.

Kenshin would have seen a Goddess like being, of awe and fear should he look directly at her and absorb her presence at once. She would stand stoic, giving out another ‘Moon Howl’, but not wavering from her position.

Kenshin found that his tactic was successful. He trapped the wolf with his genjutsu and was able to get Satu into a little bit of safety. After his assault, he would find himself with Satu.

"Satu are you ok are you...." Kenshin would stop and think about the interaction. It was very much like a pup/mother. Could this be Satu's mother? It would make sense or maybe she was just the one that trained all pups. "Satu who is this? I don't want to hurt someone close to you but if she continues this way I will fight back. If I can't defend you what good am I? I will prove my will and loyalty to you as often as it is required. I trust you." Kenshin would say.

THe wolf finally broke free and chose to not be just a wolf anymore. Kenshin thought she looked even more beautiful that white fur seeming to glow even more intensely. Kenshin would see her and bow very low, still looking at the werewolf.

. "We seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot. I am Yuu Kenshin of Leaf. I apologize for attacking but to me you hurt little Satu and I have taken a liking to this pup. I will not interfere since you seem to care for him like a mother. However should you hurt him I will not stand idly by." Kenshin would say although he doubted that speech alone would do much.

So he showed her. It was a simple and silly thing but keeping his eyes on her, he would pet Satu deliberately and then mime licking him. A simple display of caring to a beast that did not understand (or chose not to communicate that way) human speech. Kenshin would even "paw" the ground with his shoe near Satu showing that he cared for the pup.

Based off of what Satu said, Kenshin would allow the werewolf to do as she pleased to Satu sans hurting him his palms open and emitting chakra. Should Satu warn him of danger or she try to attack Kenshin would form some handsigns and some chakra shields (master rank) would appear before Satu protecting him. Kenshin would not attack but let the were wolf attack him. He would show his will of defense by taking on the brunt of the attack.

Was he in awe of this beautiful, deadly creature? Yes. Was he also nervous? Indeed. But he had to push onward. He hoped he had read the situation right but if things should go south he would protect Satu with his life if need be.

The beast bellowed again... And again... It seemed as if she was trying to make a message clear and known. She was distance away from her pup who was now being coveted, or protected by some man she had never seen before. The werewolf began to beat her chest, give out more howls that seemed to rumble the very ground beneath them. It was a different howl, one that didn't resonate of anger or malice but rather, concern and empathy. In her younger days she was much like Satu, who had to protected by Ezo time and time again. Her radiant light gave brightness to the dark night, as if the moon had crashed into the ground.

The man spoke to her, to which some words were familiar and she understood the man barely, but what happened next had caused her to pause in the howling that stopped suddenly. She stepped closer to the man, the werewolf was sniffing and looking from a titled head. She gave a few barks, low ones that had a soft growl with it, as she grew closer, sniffing more. The chakra he emitted, the stances and language of his body, made the werewolf grow closer and closer slowly. Satu would just remain in position with his hind wagging back and forth as long as his tail. He was crouched down with his head low, would have seemed like a very playful stance which it was, but his whimpering and constant change of who he was looking at showed he was uneasy and feeling some tension, Satu had no clue what was going to happen.

Eiki realized the man wasn't in utter fear, pain, agony of her light which made her believe the man before her was pure of heart, thus deducting he must have been in here in hopes to strike a deal with Ezo. Her light didn't let up a bit, in fact in could have grown brighter since she was growing closer. She would kneel down though, as a human would some feet away from the two, her large wolf like eyes would peer into Kenshin's own, but not only that it would have felt like she was looking into his soul, and grabbing hold of his own heart. She only wanted to see, if the man would falter, if he would cower, should he show weakness of any sign, she'd deem him unworthy on the spot and continue this fight. For in the distance, another fight was bound to erupt. Though the land was silent. An even deeper, stronger, more ferocious howl could be heard echoing across the land, a howl so fervent it shook the walls, the ground slightly cracked and loose rocks from the canyon walls would roll of to the side and crash into the ground below. Satu would shiver.
