Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had worked it seemed. Between the gentle posturing, gentle chakra work, and some basic dog body language, which he had used before to relax moms enough to get near their pups especially if the pup was sick, he had calmed her down so her howls were not as fearsome as before and has seemed more.... worried? Perplexed? As she sniffed and got nearer, he would keep her gaze making small 'bark' like sounds light and non threatening all while making sure that she knew that Satu was his as well. Miming licking. 'pawing' the ground but keeping his chkara flow nice and relaxed.

And then he would be seized as her eyes seemed to bore even more into his and grip Kenshin's heart and soul in one canine grasp. Kenshin felt his muscles tense but refused to even blink as he watched the white wolf. She was so bright and so beautiful. No darkness could ever touch her pelt and heaven help those that tried. He would stare back his inner mind reflecting true. He was going to protect those who he cared about. He would protect Satu. He would protect Koneko. He would protect Akihiko. He would protect this mother given the chance and any other of the canines who wished to ally themselves with him. And so Kenshin refused to waiver for his conviction of will was strong, unending, and unyielding.

Then there was a howl in which Kenshin would almost duck from a howl so big that rocks fell around them. While staring at the white wolf mother, Kenshin would still protect Satu from any rock that got too close. Something else was coming and Kenshin did not think that his trial was at an end. Was it nearing the end? Who could tell but to Kenshin it did not matter. The next task was before him and he would take it head on. It was that simple.

Her light dimmed, her breathing became heavy exhales, more dog or wolf like, and light continued to dim some more. She lowered in posture, slower by the inch. At the sound of the roar she too did not falter but knew what it had meant because it was her that summoned Ezo in such a way because she was misunderstood of the human and Satu's relationship. Her light dimmed down completely as she was slowly exiting werewolf form and when she was able to be seen by the naked eyed without strain she was completely back to her wolf form, snorting lightly around the face and shoulder of Kenshin sniffing him. Satu did the same to Eiki and was licking at her paws, she was paw him back playfully. She noticed how Kenshin reacted and gave clear nod of her head, almost approvingly.

"H-human. Fl- fl- flee now. NOW!"

She pushed Satu into Kenshin, suggesting he take Satu with him, whether or not he understood what little she could verbally say, she would turn around, with hind up and tail erect with curve as wolf is. She was leaning on her front paws and crouched, as if ready to fight her brother, but knowing him, and her distress call, he was coming upset and angry, no verbal word at this moment will calm his spirit, only arouse more danger. So she felt it fit to fend him off herself and try to manage some words into him before barging in on the group now and perceiving the same miscalculated judgement that she had. She snarled, if he was around would look back at him and snarl once more if he hadn't already got a move on. Meanwhile Ezo was catching up, and fast as he was dashing from wall, to ground, to wall, even crashing through some rocks his very foot steps alone sounded like stampeding herd that was oncoming.

Satu would lean into Kenshin and nip at his feet, also saying to pick up the pace as he started dashing off not anywhere fast enough on his on and gave out his small puppy barks, he was agile enough to dodge any big debris and falling rocks, but he would continue his pace and yell back at Kenshin.

S: "If you haven't already guessed... That was Momma, and Pa is coming and sounds real REAL angry, so she wants us to get a move on and find some cover.... We've gotta get far enough to where he won't sniff us out... Cause he'll just out run Momma and come directly to us!"

He said all this in between rapidly breathing from extensive high speed running from the pup which really wasn't much, but he insisted and getting as far away as possible.

As the light dimmed, Kenshin knew this part was done. She sniffed around him and he would return in kind since she appeared to respond better to nonverbal cues than speech. Then almost as if remembering the roar he was given a simple command and had Satu at his feet. Kenshin was to flee and it looked like she was ready to fight. She was going to protect them from the misunderstanding. It is true he could try to run with Satu and hide. They might be able to hide but this fine wolf would be in danger.

Kenshin ignored the warning and the growling.

"Satu you and your mother stay here for a moment. Should a fight break out I do not want you to engage. Leave if you wish but I will not back down. I made a promise and that promise is protecting you and if I have to protect you from your own family, then so be it. This goes to you oh glorious white wolf." and to show this as nonverbals, Kenshin would signal with his hands a 'stay' motion and then place an arm in front of the wolf in a protective stance.

And so Kenshin would wait. This could possibly be it. This could be the end of an adventure or his life. This canine was far stronger than the others based on just the sound of the roar. There was no grantee that he was stronger and he could be tore limb from limb. He could be kicked out from this place. All sorts of scenarios played through Kenshin's mind as he waited for his fate to come. And indeed it was fate. His life, especially that part that lead him to be a shinobi. His loss had forced him to be stronger than anyone else around him. It drove him to teach and to keep the future generations alive. This lead Satu to him and it was not this moment. Would Yuu Kenshin, scion of the the Yuu family, hide from a test of Will? Would he allow the allies he is hoping to win over to be hurt over this? Would he go back on his word?

No. Not today. Not ever. His loss was too great. No more. No more suffering because of him. It ended with him one way or another. He would shoulder this and if he never saw Satu again... well add that to his list of regrets second to only to the loss of his teammates.

When the monster dog would appear, he doubted that he would expect this. He would find Kenshin laying in front of Satu and the white wolf, on his back exposing his stomach an offer of submission. It was one of the most basic and strongest forms of nonverbals he had. Hopefully it would stall or confuse the canine coming for him so he could reason with him. Kenshin would even whine a little and offer soft barks.Should he be directly attacked Kenshin would not attack merely defend hopefully letting some of the anger out would calm the dog and Kenshin could take some teeth and clawing. Should the white wolf intervene, Kenshin would get in between them and not let the newcomer to hurt her. Any time he had for speech would be small whines broken in with some human words a soft mantra.

"I am Yuu Kenshin, I do not wish to hurt you."

The floor rumbled, the walls rattled, the sky cracked with a bang, darkness was falling and fast at that. Satu saw that Kenshin did not follow to run and so Satu came to a sliding stop. He snarled and raced back toward Kenshin while Eiki whimpered lightly and looked confused at Kenshin's action, she too snarled for him not listening to her warning. Her and Satu thought alike, if Kenshin would stand his ground then they all would. Meanwhile Akihiko was coming up the long stairway from the cavern below they were once in. In his own beauty and conceit he lead his proud self slowly to the action just a waving his curly bushy tail with a smirk. Eiki then looked at Kenshin with a tilt of her head, 'Like What?' Kenshin had laid on the ground in a submissive form. Satu looked at him the same.

S: "Kenshin that will not help here, not right now!"

An angry Ezo would only berate the man for playing dead or submissive, Ezo being so keen to even sniff the very life of a being. The oncoming darkness grew almost pitch black, with a large ray of silver light from tonight's full moon. Upon a large mountain perch, if Kenshin would look first at a shivering Satu and Whimpering Eiki who gave out medium howls that seemed whiney is she were trying to explain something. On top of this perch was a figure, almost twice the size of Eiki herself, just towering in shadowy darkness at the perch, the only light would be his eyes a crescent moon like Eiki's except in white. Why white on such a dark looking creature, two fangs from the side of his mouth, pearly white poked from his black lips. His very presence could be felt, thickening the air and even humidifying it in some way.

S: "Kenshin... Get up... Now..."

Satu continued to whimper and at that time Akihiko had finally reached the top to see what has become of the man's will. And still, he seemed bent on receiving this pack, so much that he would even go face to face with Ezo knowing it could lead to a duel between Alpha Males where he would more than likely have to prove he can knock out Ezo, or with stand a number of rounds. Akihiko saw it in the ninja that he would come at least this far, definitely, his will to the test, Ezo looked as menacing as ever almost sending shivers down his own spine. Ezo would lean his head back giving out an eerie howl that rang across the skies and seemed to focus all of the moon's light to beam upon his crescent birthmark on his forehead creating an incandescent light illuminated the land in a dark glow, it appeased to his aura and would make Ezo look even more terrifying. If Kenshin felt this howl it would've had a chance to install fear, and if so that fear could stifle his movements in the heated battle to come. [Midnight Masquerade]

Whether Kenshin was ready or not, Ezo would leap and send a a basic strike aimed at him that Eiki would easily deflect herself, the impact would cause the two wolfs recoil and retreat in opposite directions growling at a each other, meanwhile Satu barked at both of them, Akihiko would walk up slowly, berating Kenshin.

A: "This is how you greet my Father with your will?? Bwahahahaha! I know you heard that howl, you think that is something to deter his oncoming will?! Now is not that time, Father is upset. WE must ALL show him our will!"

Akihiko also prepared himself in a fighting stance with a smirk on his face. Ezo turned to look at Kenshin and growled. Akihiko used his Speed Burst Buffing Taijutsu, increasing his speed and agility, he signaled for Kenshin to ride atop his back, as if to get in good position for the offensive.

A: "Mom is a healer type Kenshin, not so much of the fighter, now that is my dad. Someday I will follow after him... Together we will move and when you have the chance to strike him, hit him hard! AND DO NOT HOLD BACK!!!! WE'RE GONNA HIT EM WITH ONE COMBO AND FINISH HIM BEFORE IT GETS REAL!"

If Kenshin was there or not he was off.

The ruse had not worked it seemed. The massive canine even as he was adjusting he was attacked but it was deflected by the wondrous white one would protect him from. Standing ba kto his full height Kenshin would stare at the snarling bass of black fur before him frown on his face. He was tough. Clearly an alpha. If he was going to protect this pack he would have to show his strength. And it seemed that was what wold be done. The fact that they were willing to fight with him... well it bolstered his resolve. He would show them exactly how strong he was.

"The wrong tactic. Regardless, I will show you my will, Alpha of the Pack. And you will gaze in awe of it." Kenshin said his voice firm and commanding. It was time. No more holding back like he did earlier. It was time to show them what years of training to the point of exhaustion could bring. How many tears he worked though to get to this point. No howling Alpha would deter him. To his students HE was alpha. And he was going to end this before it began like Satu suggested.

'Satu... forgive me if I should mess this up.' Kenshin thought as he began.

A flurry of handsigns later large diamonds coated Kenshin's hands (Diamond Cutter Master rank) Moving quicker than he had ever moved before he began his attack. Going low, he would appear beside the Alpha both fists glowing slightly. His right fist was coated in a black energy and as he reached out to punch with it (Fist of Sin- Greed)his other fist followed up with his left full of pure white energy (Fist of Virtue-Diligence) Even as his left fist withdrew. should the Alpha notice the right fist that was coated in dark energy now held a spiraling ball of chakra that grew and grew. Not only did it grow it got hotter. Soon the hot chakra became coated in flame and then became spiraling flame itself.

"I will protect them. I will fight until my dying breath. BEHOLD MY WILL OF FIRE!" and with that he would slam the swirling fire chakra into the Alpha cutting though any fear he may have had. (Perfected Rasengan Rasen Nova)

He would jump back and assume a defensive stance ready to block any attack that would anywhere close to Satu and the wonderful wolf. They were his allies and he would protect them. There was no doubt. It was going to happen and he was going to survive this and see Satu happy. Would it be his last promise?

Satu heard the words of Kenshin and titled his head to the side confused, the same with Eiki who watched as Akihiko used his Transformation Jutsu to become an exact replica of Kenshin in all his features who was now closing in on Ezo. Kenshin roared a bellow of triumph and was coated with crystals, sending some devastating blows toward Ezo. But with Ezo’s evasive ability, the right fist was side stepped, with another skillfully dodging the next, and while in attempt to land was caught smack dab in the gut by an intense fireball, or so what it felt like.

The force of this blow stopped Ezo dead in his tracks, and sent him pummeling into the air where a transformed Akihiko would perform a lesser version of Kenshin’s attack, a natural Rasengan that caught Ezo in mid-flight twisting and contorting his body until he crashed hard into the rocky terrain with a large dust cloud that grew high into the sky, and expanded wide in diameter. He was hit with two death blows that really pushed him to his limit, but during the first strike her prepared some special saliva within his jaw, that he swallowed once hitting the ground, healing a large percentage of the damage he took, he would use the smoke cloud and the idea he was beaten to his advantage.

Omnipotent Saliva - B-Rank Ninjutsu

Akihiko landed some distance away, back in the form of a dog, huffing and puffing, some other ways away Satu and Eiki stared in awe of Kenshin’s power and Akihiko’s sudden burst of teamwork. All the while, Ezo’s strength was returning tenfold, he was standing now, in the shrouded cloud of dust which began to dissipate and show him back on all fours.

Shooting the Moon - Activated Passive

Ezo was coated in a dark aura that emanated from his moon crescent. It was weird how something so bright could give out such a dark physical energy. His strengths increased, as his growls became fierce, he looked to Akihiko and gave a loud growl of disappointment and he turned back to Kenshin, pawing the ground readying his grip to move.

Ezo dashed, and as if he channeled all that damage sustained to dish it back his paw was seen rising with his claws exposed and swiping across his body at Kenshin in one fell swoop!

: B – Rank Slashing Jutsu: Focal Blade

Whether or not it connected Ezo sent another flurry or four strikes one from each paw twice simultaneously with an angry roar. If Ezo connected he would repeat this same flurry instantly following up.

: B – Rank Slashing Jutsu: Steel Weaving

This would have been followed by a Ten strike combo, that would get more accurate with every completed strike, and finished with a final blow of Ezo sweeping his right arm all the way across his body as if trying to behead Kenshin

: B – Rank Slashing Jutsu: Kill Driver and Executioner

Kenshin was disappointed that his punches missed but was very happy to see his Rasen Nova connect. He was even happier to see a rasengan of hit his opponent. Still, the Alpha seemed to have a regained some health. Annoying but Kenshin was built to last. He would just have to go one step further.

The Alpha began to charge Kesnhin and he didn't even try to dodge. This was nothing. What the Alpha would find out the spikes on his armor reflected some of the damage back with each strike. Kenshin felt the blows connect but he merely grunted as each hit know his opponent was hurting himself. The paws would be bloody from Kenshin's blood but also his own as he jumped away. He waited until the final move was performed what would be an executioner, Kensin would act. He would dodge the final technique and while he was doing so it seemed like steam was coming coming from his body.

"Good! An Alpha should be strong! But I will protect them!" the steam billowed out and while he did activate his Devastating Aura (Rank 1) again but something was different.

Kenshin's aura was deadly but it looked like every muscle on Kenshin's body was tense and ready to spring out at once. It lasted for a second while he was staring at the Alpha his eyes trained ont he one who was his biggest threat to himself and to his new allies.

'Secret Art' He thought to himself as his fists began moving 'Diamond Rush'

And in a a flash Kenshin began punching and punching and punching each one getting faster and faster. Before long the dark aura would be reflected by the flash of diamond punches soaring in the air. Each one would attempt to hit but never kill. His goal was knocking out the Alpha. He did not want to replace him. This was his role. But Kenshin needed that position of summoner and he would show that his will was stronger than the Alpha's even if he had to bring himself or the Alpha to death's door to do so.

As he finished his combo, he would leap back his body steaming a little more as some of the cuts healed themselves (Ability Healing Factor)

"Thank you for the assist. Please keep yourself safe" Kenshin would mutter to his new allies.

His eyes never left the Alpha's

(Limit Break Master rank +4 16 hit combos= 64 punches)

Although the Alpha was connecting, he seemed to get brunt of the attack as well. This crystal amethyst that covered Kenshin's body gave out recoil and with each strike he would spill his own blood too. He clicked his teeth having his last attack miss fully, and even be counteratacked. The Alpha would stumble back in response to the burst wave of energy.

Kenshin would scream out some words and Ezo would respond with a deafening roar! Kenshin still seemed poised even after that barrage of strikes from Ezo and again Kenshin was off with a flurry of attacks all striking, one faster and stronger than the other. Each hit Ezo would grunt out loud, and Eiki in the distance could be heard whimpering in worry for the both of them.

The last strike would have sent the Alpha hurdling across the mainland and tumbling kicking up a big cloudy is dust before his body slammed into a large stone wall abruptly. It took a while for the smoke to clear but when it did it revealed a defeated and confused Ezo.

Ezo: "Why? Why do you all help this intruding human?!?! Have you all betrayed your Alpha?!?!"

Eiki let out another whimper in response, her body language gave Ezo the message, as he lay sprawled he found the energy to push himself up to all fours even though wobbling.

Ezo: "You.... who are you?"

Stay would have came running to Ezo's side barking and nipping at his paws, the fighting was over and Ezo was beat, he would be willing to talk it out at the moment.

Each punch would connect and it felt good to let loose after a long while. As he fell back and watched the dust settle, he popped his neck. He wasn't getting any younger.

The Alpha... Ezo was it? He was now talking, some sense beat into him at last. Kenshin wished it would have gone another way but it was in the past now. Kenshin knew that the Alpha was now going to listen or else he hoped so.

Kenshin let the purple armor and diamond on his hands melt away turning into mud and slipping form his body, his clothes still clean although there was blood on him from the attacks that landed. Again he put his hands out and let soothing chakra come forth, his Devastating Aura disappearing as well. He began to speak in a firm yet calm voice.

"I am Yuu Kesnhin Jounin of the Leaf village. While I was training, young Satu here approached me with a test. I accepted and led me here where I have been asked to make a contract as your summoner. I have signed the giant scroll two times and I await to sign the third which was about "Will" I have attempted to do that, Alpha. My determination is as strong as my will to protect and you will never find a shinobi who cares more about protecting his pack than myself. I fought you just now with the intent of not fatality hurting you but I swear upon my life and honor that I will protect this clan from enemies and Heaven have mercy on those that seek to hurt you for they will most certainly find none from me. Alpha of this pack, I seek your approval for this pack and ask to be your summoner." Kenshin would bow slightly.

Kenshin hoped that the appeal to his strength and then still regarding the Alpha as Alpha despite loosing a fight would be enough to sway the Alpha into letting him stay. He was now officially bleeding for this pack and he would not let them go so easily.

Ezo leaned back and breathed heavily hearing Kenshin's introduction. His fellow pack seemed to gravitate to him. Ezo watched this, a pull yanked at his heart. His own dear wife even took a liking to the man, and she herself seemed a bit battered, Ezo pondered. He easily assumed she too duked it out with the Shinobi. He gathered himself, wincing, well, at least the ninja was some chip off the ol' block. He truly showed promise in his combat skills. Plus, his will is what it said to be, a raging fire. Ezo himself felt inspired by him. He wobbled a bit closer, gathering a bit more of his magic spit and swallowing it to heal himself. A soft silver aura would shroud his body for a moment reviving his stamina.

Ezo: "Yes... Yes... I see it, NO! I can feel it... Your will. You got yourself a bet. Follow me."

He didn't wobble anymore but walked rather slowly, to the hidden stairway down into the lower parts, where Kenshin once signed the scrolls. Satu followed happily at Kenshin's feet, Eiki behind Ezo and Akihiko in front of the pack, waving the curvy bushy tail of his with a smug smirk, as He did something of importance. Slowly Akihiko and Ezo lead the way down the stairs, and to the left into the large mysterious room of Canine history. Ezo would give a relieving sigh.

Ezo:"Ahhhh... It's been a while Kenshin... Since we have been down here to form a bond with a human yet again. Consider yourself not lucky, but chosen my boy. You are a man a great strength, backed by an undying courage, fueled by fiery will. Here."

Ezo signed with his in the blood from his paw caused from striking Kenshin earlier. His signature was thick and robust, much like his paw himself, and he grunted, followed by a grin afterward. The rest of the canines would surround the scroll behind Ezo looking at Kenshin, the younger ones with their tongues out breathing heavily, looking at Kenshin and then around and back at Kenshin.

And so the Alpha spoke and it seemed it was done. He had proven his worth to this strong family, this pack, and he would maybe lead them... no be apart of them. Each one played animportant role and now his role, hopefully would be summoner. To be part of a pack. Kenshin had favored the solo missions since the... well since that horrible day but maybe he could get used to being part of a group again. He smiled at he thought of it. Yes, it had been far too long. Kenshin would walk steadily following behind the Alpha and at a good pace as to not hurry him.

They reached the place with the giant scroll again. Kenshin smiled again. It was time. Finally. Was this mission over? Would this be it?

Kenshin took some blood of his that was leaking from a cut on his arm. In a slow and deliberate movement, he signed his name the third signature fresh with his blood.

"You all honor me by trusting in me. And such I place my trust in you. You will protect me and I will protect you. My strength is at your disposal and as is my heart. I will strive to show you that your trust is well earned. Mistakes will happen on both sides and miscommunication. But know that I would never willing hurt you and I will do my best to protect you. And may it be said that it was little Satu here who lead the way. Without him, I would never have been able to come here. The younger generations forge their way sooner rather than later." Kenshin would say soft but sternly.

Hopefully this was journey's end.

Ezo nodded at Kenshins affirmation. The scroll glowed a brillint white light and the once fresh blood was sealed into the scroll and dried like ink. Instantly Kenshin and the Canines would feel a deeper bond, and if Kenshin would see, would come to understand all the surrounding artifacts and the scribe history. The Canine pack smiled, Satu even ran and jumped into Kenshin's lap. Ezo and Eiki began to walk off slowly before getting stopped by Koheko.

K:"Heh heh heh heh heheh, the man paaaassed. As I presumed, good job..."

Koheko began to walk off with the elders and Akihiko came to sit next to Kenshin. He held a paw up for him to high five if he would. And then, Akihiko himself would be off as well. They returned to the mainland which flourished with all the differenent types of Canines again. It was a happy day in the land.

[OOC: Leaving Topic. I believe you passed, but will make sure for you, I believe just post an exit and we are good to go. Sorry for the delays and nice rp'ing with you Kenshin!]

Kenshin's eyes seemed to flash as the scroll glowed. Kenshin would blink a few times and as his eyes adjusted he saw the long proud history of the canines. As they were left alone he bowed to the Alpha and fist bumped Akihiko. Kenshin would scratch behind Satu's ear.

This was a step in a different direction to be sure. Never did he think he would be part of such a close group again. His movement from Stone had upended a lot in his life leaving family behind. Now, however, he had a pack. The bond was still new and there would be some adjustment periods especially since everyone had their unique personality. Still, Kenshin knew that with time they would be close.

Kenshin would stay here for a long while not wanting to go back quiet yet. Eventually, he would leave the Valley of the Canines with at least Satu sad at his going. But Kenshin promised to summon him once he got home so he would know where he was staying. He didn't have the biggest place in Leaf but he was sure going to stock up on some food.

Kenshin wondered if these ninja dogs ate kibble or more huamn food. Guess it means he would have to work overtime at the Academy. But having some ninja hounds will be useful for training. Kenshin's smile would grow bigger as he began his journey back to Leaf.

What an utterly strange training session.
