Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Umashi really ought to have done a meet and greet before he went about trying to save the world. As it stood, he was seeing things with the Alchemist in his arm . . . head . . . wherever he was, coupled with the group of kids and dude that he didn't know and one medic in training that he was seeing a stellar future for. Fortunately, nobody could actually see the chakra being that was now a part of his arm. Answering Kurokawa though, he waved his hand in a general direction and gave as much as an update as he could . . . to a person that probably had little business questioning him in the first place. "Well, I kind of stumbled upon this scene and there was a really big sandworm thingie that almost killed these fine folks here and I helped to save the day . . . Which is to say that I didn't exactly do things the so called med-nin way. There's Rina and . . . some people with me and I think that a kid ran away as well. Either way, we felled the beast and I sealed it away for study back in Iwa." There was definitely some role reversal going on and after spilling so much, Umashi was determined to get some order as soon as he could. Of course the irony also wasn't lost on him that he had both a Hyuuga and a Hashigaki in his presence at the same time. One of these days he was going to ask the question about how the two groups felt about each other but now probably wasn't the best time to be doing so. Getting back to the sand creature though, he still needed some questions answered because sand creatures weren't supposed to talk, or so he seemed to want to believe. "So does your sandy friend have a name and or a story to tell? It's a long walk back to the civilization." All of this talking had better lead to something quick, because some of these kids needed medical attention and Kurokawa and the sandman looked like they were just begging for trouble to be following them.

Rina moved her head to look past the sennin Umashi, and as soon as she saw who was standing on the other side of the cleft, Umashi addressed Kurokawa and asked about who the other person might be. Rina could clearly see that this person by Kurokawa was not a human being. This person made out of sand was just filled chakra, with no head or tail in where chakra flowed, probably because there was no chakra coils to begin with. She saw this and remembered seeing something similar less than a minute ago. This brought her attention back to the sand shinobi who apparently was not as human as she had thought. This man’s chakra coils were overflowing with chakra. The pathways of his chakra made no sense. It was as if the chakra just went wherever it wanted to go, to the point where it was hard to see what was coming from where. Rina did not pay much attention to the conversations between Umashi, Kurokawa and her friend, since she was using all her concentration on her Byakugan and not passing out. Though she did hear Kurokawa’s friend saying:

Where did you put it... murky brother?

Rina could only think of sand shinobi as the sand man’s brother, but she did not know what he referred to as “It”. The heat from the sun was now as dizzying as the pain from Rina’s wound and she had to stop her Byakugan yet again. She knew she would have a hard time standing up and that she could definitely not run, even if the situation called for it.

Umashi-sama, can you please help my wound heal?

Kurokawa figured answering Umashi was the fastest way to get back to the creature standing among them.

"He goes by the name of Sahqo Golz. He can speak for himself, but my experience is that he chooses his words instead of long monologues. So far it seems he thinks some of you are rangers and since there is one amongst you with an odd body I am staying on this side of the chasm for now."

Kurokawa would point towards Tama. There was something very off about his body. She would describe it as somewhere between Golz and a human, closer to human and with some hint of something other than Sand as his base.

"This whole ancient stuff is new to me but Golz is not dangerous unless threatened. Can you say the same for the Ancient, or half Ancient you have on your side of the chasm?"

After finishing she would lower her finger that untill this point had been pointed at Tama. She did not know much about him but Ancients was the only none human entity other than those with demon ties that she knew so she assumed that he would be related to them, with this being the Wind country. Apparently they used to be a whole lot more of these beings and since she knew from the announcer that once humanity rose they tried to subdue it but obviously lost, Rangers might be some form of Hybrid specialised in hunting them down. She would keep herself between Tama and Golz for now.

Umashi's brow furrowed as he eyed Kuro and her friend. Manipulating chakra into his hand (the real one) he set about healing Rina by sparing no expense. With the blessing of something angelic he'd stitch up every wound that could and then he set about getting to the bottom of this little predicament. "Feeling any better yet?" he'd ask Rina with a concerning tone in his voice. Meanwhile his brain was racing to try and figure out just what this sand golem's angle was. Kuro said that he could speak for himself but so far the guy wasn't much for conversation save for vague references. To answer Kuro's question though, Umashi had to shrug and shake his head. "No idea if he's dangerous or not in the criminal sense but I know that he just helped me and a bunch of kids take out a giant sand worm thingiemajig that was trying to eat us. I'd venture to say that that has made him worth the benefit of the doubt in my book." Turning his attention to the Golz guy, he wondered what his goals were concerning the name calling and general lack of detail. Was he gathering intel in order to spring an ambush or was he about to send them on another wild and crazy ride? "So Mr. Golz, how can we help you? The question seemed simple enough to answer, but today wasn't exactly a day for simple things.

OOC: Sorry to have missed this. I'm back on board though!

Sahqo Golz

It should be obvious to those gathered here that something was wrong. They were hurled into the wilderness via a seal fixed into their hands, perhaps it was a mistake. Perhaps it was mere happenstance that two exams happened to take place in the same space and that they were in such close proximity to a juvenile sandworm. Yes, that worm was far from an adult, while the biology of a Sandworm is a mystery to most despite the fact that worms have been a subject of academic study for some time there seemed to be more mysteries than answers. The Ancient stood at the edge of the precipice that dropped to unseen depths, a fissure that separated the Earth Ancient from these relative unknowns. It watched as the humans healed each other, it did not intervene. In time it would appear that these humans have learned a vast skill set that they did not have previously. He came from a time before man discovered how to manipulate their chakra coils. It was a fascinating skill not unlike those his kind employs, a manipulation of their actual spiritual essence to manipulate the world around them. It was something that humanity was only first discovering when he was hunted down like and animal and captured, it would appear that they have become more proficient over the years. In his time there was more ceremony attached to their power but in time it would seem that humanity stripped away the unnecessary and tedious ritualism associated with their craft but their proficiency seemed no different.

"So Mr. Golz, how can we help you?

He took a breath, he was not looking for 'help.' He was home and he was free but of course there were things he wanted. Everybody wants something. "I am here with the pretty human,"</GLOW><i></i> he replied referring to Kurokawa. "I am here to help her." He looked at the displaced earth, the hard-packed sand and the damaged humans. Sandworms were hardly a novelty, at least in his time. Nests or rather egg-lairs were maintained indefinitely. While there was no corpse to identify the behemoth annelid, there were always signs. He knelt down to the edge of the earth he stood on, something was breaking through the earth. As a bit of earth crumbled away and a strange creature burst through and then plummeted to its conceivable demise. "...sand tribble," he muttered. It had been a long time since he had seen one but they had a symbiotic relationship with the sandworms, they consumed the refuse left behind by the Sandworms which protected the penultimate predator from the true apex predator of the desert. Not man, not ancient but rather carnasaurs. While their path would fade away with the shifting sands in these arid winds, their excrement was as hard as stone and rather massive. It was something that was hard to miss, even if half-buried. It would seem that the man wearing unseasonably warm attire was telling the truth when he explained their plight, their fight and then their ultimate victory over the beast.

"Sandworms do not eat people unless attacked," Golz mused out loud. <GLOW glow="darkgoldenrod">"You should know to not antagonize them and to avoid their grounds... it is not like those change,"<i></i> the mildly befuddled ancient continued. "Human rights of passage are strange,"<i></i> their tribalism should not surprise him at this point considering their nomadic roots however they had long ago been domesticated and became agrarian. In their absence did they truly revert? "Children are precious, you should not send them to antagonize dangerous creatures."<i></i>

These young people were in the middle of something bigger than themselves. They were simply casulaties that needed to be out of the way. The medics were transported away. The Genins and Chuunins as well. All that was left in Soons Haven was the ANBU and the Jounins... well, the ANBU, Jouinins and any other high-level shinobi. Their numbers limited in theory and without proficient medics they would be much easier to identify among the droning masses. Was the plan to kill them all -- of course not. That would be too easy and it would not garner the desired outcome. He could have had the seal teleport them to a space hundreds of feet into the air and let them fall to their deaths but then all he would have is a legion of dead shinobis. He did not want that. No, not at all. He wanted them to get home, a bit worse for the wear. A few injuries, a few scars, some traumatic memories and even a missing limb or two. The trip was not meant to be forgotten but more than that, something or someone needed to take the blame and be the focus of their ire. In a society that fosters distrust, elitism, castes and ethnocentrism, it should come as no surprise that men and women are easy to manipulate. Blame someone. Blame Sunagakure. Fight over something. Not everyone is going to believe it - an isolationistic country suddenly attacking participants in an exam. A fool's endeavor that some would realize leading to in-fighting between those who believe and those who do not. Still, getting a few panties in a bunch is hardly a diabolical plan... so what did he really want?

Kurokawa smirked at the comment about her appearance. She figured that for someone who was very unlikely to find humans attractive that comment was about as good as it would get. Especially since Golz witnessed and misread her attempt to solve the last puzzle. She would turn her head slightly and speak with a volume that would indicate that the message was meant for Golz.

"You don't owe me anything so if you want to go somewhere else I won't hold it against you. Always glad to have company, but I just don't want to feel like you are just here cause you are indebted to me."

As far as the stranger on the other side of the rift, she would let it be for now. She was a tad surprised when the little creature popped out of the sand. She had heard the shifts but not really registered it as dangerous due to it's speed and size. Gloz seems chattier than usual at the moment. She would take mental note to try and avoid sand worms and attempt to leave the area rather than stand her ground and fight.
