Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]Matsu was somewhat in a tailspin from everything that had happened. What a wonderful waste of time to throw him from his quarry before he had a chance to taste it and carve it apart. Taking in a deep breathe, Matsu would light his lanterns to provide at least some light despite how useless it might be. He grumbled again as he had wanted to give the lizard his knife back. It all happened so quickly, however, that Matsu had no real time to tell his compatriot anything. He wondered if the mystical link was still established as he regained his breath. Taking a bit of a moment to assess the situation, Matsu would look at the three different entrances. Not a single one gave him any indication as to what may occur within their halls. Reaching onto his person, he would make sure his lanterns were still on his person. He would light them and lift them up so that he could see into the darkness. It would not allow him to peer deep, but it would allow him to at least somewhat see.

Slowly, Matsu would begin to head down the central hallway. He would be as cautious as possible to avoid traps, but he could only see so far. He didn't want to get surprised if he could help it. He had already ran into enough of that with everything else that had gone on this day. Being tested by lizards that could communicate, let alone those that wanted to test him by trying to kill him were not his idea of fun. He had simply wanted to come out and gather materials so that he could produce something of quality. He sighed because it was just his luck to have such a thing happen. Now he was stuck with the lizard's knife. Perhaps it had been useful in his last skirmish, but he didn't even get to enjoy that either. He was simply deprived of one reward after another. Perhaps when his life was over he could be pitched into a river just so that the desert wouldn't have the satisfaction of taking his body. After all, the sun didn't care.

So there he was, traveling down the center corridor, waiting to die or survive.

Choosing to go down the center pathway, the man would find that as he moved slowly through the caverns that he could almost hear whispers stuttering around in the darkness. It was almost as if they were meaning to say the most sinister and nerve-wracking things, but before he could truly discern what it was they were trying to say it would fade out and be replaced again by more incoherent babbling. Key words that he would notice if he was perceptive were "death, kill, end, suffering" and all manners of incredibly unsettling words. These were the ghosts of brave souls that had tried to make their ways through these sandstone walls and had met the most terrible ends. To his left and right, dark crimson stains were smeared in various spots on the walls, and rusty kunai and other weapons scattered about on the floor. Once the man had moved about fifty feet down the first stretch, he would turn to the right and suddenly there was a roar of wind that sounded much like painful cries that caused his lantern to shimmer in and out before resettling again. After turning the corner and continuing to walk, down this particular path it was almost as if there were hundreds of red eyes that were staring at him. It would make even the most rough and tough type slightly uncomfortable.

Whatever the case may be, once he had gone maybe another hundred feet down this corridor. He would enter into a large open room. There were two torches that had a sort of blue magical haze to them, and they lit the room up to a point where he would at least be able to see his surroundings. The two torches were next to an old and very ancient tome, if the man were to approach it he would find that it had to be thousands of years old, and that there were several old handprints on it and they had caked the text in blood. But he would be able to make it out and it would say.

There is only one color, but never only one size. Stuck at the bottom, but it can easily fly. Present in the sun, but not in the rain. Doing no harm, but feeling no pain. What am I?"

Asides from the old tome with the mysterious riddle on it, to the right of him in this big open corridor was a funny device in the ground. On the device was a pie shaped sort of "graph" with eight different pieces and with each one relating to a different symbol. The symbols varied but they were drawn in such a way that they would be easy to discern what there true meanings were, the symbols were as follows.

Air, Mist, Fire, Cup, Shadow, Gauntlet, Sun, Moon.

Upon further inspection of the room he would find that there were several pedestals around the room, with each one containing on the top something relating to the eight different items and a very large door that had a strange hole in the center of it. Another strange thing about the room was the blue lights themselves, perhaps they had something relating to the mystery within them?

[col]Matsu looked around as he proceeded down the pathway. While it caused him some discomfort, he felt self affirmed by his potentially useless seals upon his body and the faith he had that he would return to the surface yet again to walk under the searing sun. As he stepped into the room he grumbled. A riddle? Seriously? He cursed out loud as he stomped the sand firmly off his feet before he approached to read. He tapped the side of his noggin for a moment before going over to the pieces. He picked up the one he could only assume to be shadow as well as the one for sun. He then moved over to the pedestal. Before placing the piece on it, Matsu would do something likely utterly moronic. Walking over to the torches, he would try to pry one out and take it toward the shadow pedestal so that, in some fashion, a shadow would be cast over it. If that didn't work, he'd hold the shadow piece up to the light and attempt to have it cast a shadow. Finally, if neither of those things worked, he'd place the piece on the pedestal. Either this was one big riddle or it was going to be too easy. Or, more realistically, he was a moron. While he was definitely intelligent in a number of areas, riddles were definitely a thing his cousin excelled at while he excelled at murder. His cousin was far less...equipped. He could kill, but murder required more intent which is something Matsu carried with him regularly. Maybe he was intended to place multiple pieces in a particular order. Maybe not. Whatever. If he went unmolested by his choice he would walk back over to the tome, barring anything happening, and attempt to flip through the pages. He was particularly unconcerned unless, for whatever reason, the room he was in was attempting to kill him. No matter the outcome, hopefully he would have learned something important. If he didn't then it was possible he would be at a loss.

Matsu would discover, that upon taking an objects own shadow and casting it over the pedestal, there would be a rumbling shift and the doors would begin to cascade in an incredibly mesmerizing pattern until they had opened finally with a tired groan. Having cleared the first puzzle, the man would be able to continue making his way forth. If he were to walk down the hallway, he would find that there was a continuous stream of light put forth by similar blue torches that had been in the just previous room. This particular hallway would stretch down for what seemed like an incredible amount of time. Silent shifting whispers would continue to swirl around the man and his hairs would (without his control) stand on end. Once the man had reached the end of this hallway, he would suddenly find himself facing his next challenge.

Unbeknownst to him, walking through this second hallway was emitting a chakra that would manipulate with his own, and his eyes would get incredibly heavy until his vision began to blur at an incredible rate until after a few seconds everything would be shifty, and he would see not only double but triple of every possible shape that came into his field of vision. Also, as if in a flash he would find himself in the center of a room with what seemed to be hundreds of hallways all around him due to the shift in his sight. The man known as Matsu would find that his sense of equilibrium was totally shot and that everything began to swirl faster and faster. A voice was almost saying in his head, "Pick a way and it will all be over. Pick the right hallway, or you will die." On repeat over and over it seemed to say.

What would the man do in this twist of adversity?

[col]This was most certainly new. He really was not enjoying much of this. At least he had solved whatever first puzzle was put before him. That was nice. This second sense of just...multiplicity was not at all something he wanted to be dealing with at this time. If Matsu had any hair on his body it would stand on end. Instead, he was simply creeped out which was not a feeling he had felt in a very long time. Matsu would close his eyes, hoping that this might help him with figuring out exactly what to do. The way he was going to pick for now was simply to wait it out and see if he felt better. It was the only thing he could really do at this point in time. After closing his eyes, Matsu would sit in seiza so that perhaps, maybe, the room would stop spinning. Either way, he didn't really have much choice just yet. If the room did stop spinning then he would stand up once more and reassess.

If it did not, however, then he would crawl across the ground and towards the edges of the wall, feeling all over, hoping to find some sort of wall or passageway and go from there. He didn't want to blindly go the wrong direction especially when his eyesight was just all over the place. He wished that maybe, just maybe, he could have just snuffed all the light out. After all, if shadow was a running key, then he should be golden. That was if he actually got to snuff out the light. Maybe closing his eyes would help him do this. Maybe it would just be his downfall. His goal, if he did make it to a wall, would be to follow it to the right. After all, he was told the right hallway or he would die. If there was a hallway to the right, then that would be the way he would go. He might die though. That was always a possibility. He hoped that he wouldn't and that maybe, just maybe, he was actually being clever for once. What a tale to tell his cousin if he made it. Make him look like a right, proper jackass.|

Matsu crept along the wall, grasping the only steadying object within his reach. So much had been taken from him in his courageous plunge into the depths; his ninjutsu, his arms, his sense of balance. Yet there was still more to be taken. Inching along the wall, he eventually came upon an opening, a cold, damp breeze intermittently blowing. The room would indeed stop spinning, allowing normalcy to return to his movements. The breeze's dispelling effects would only offer a momentary respite, however. Darkness crept over his vision, starting at the corners of his eyes, then working it way towards the pupil. Unfortunately this too had to be taken. Trust was not easily gained and while there were still suspicions about Maku's character, his abilities would never be completely intact.

What was it that kept this human going? Was it the allure of a priceless treasure? A lust for adventure? A thirst for knowledge and wisdom? What was his motivation? Where did his heart lie? The answers to these questions the Lizard King wanted to know and were the singular drivers of his interest. It wasn’t often that he allowed humans into his throne room, much less gave them the time of day. So Ichi awaited the man, somewhat impatiently, totally insensitive to the burdens heaped upon him.

Matsu was extremely close to the Lizard King, in fact, he would only have to follow the breeze to next room. The air filled corridor was narrow and about 20 feet long, composed of a smooth tan colored rock. It was dotted with torches supported by sconces fashioned in the shape of stoic lizard warriors. The ceiling was high arching, lending itself to greater air flow.

This grand hall led to an even grander room. Massive columns of stone supported a cavernous room filled with all the dressings of a throne room, not that Matsu would see any of it. Though the interior design was primitive, it was still elaborate and easily gave the impression of elegance. Brilliant gems captured firelight within their centers and then reflected it across their facets, maybe even penetrating the darkness that had consumed Matsu's eyes. Long tables and benches were lined before the throne, covered in what would be pugnacious food to a human, but was fine cuisine to a lizard folk. The furnishings, along with an armada of attendants made navigating the room slightly perilous, but it could be managed with diligence.

Compared to the rest of the room, the throne itself was crude and plain. It was made completely of bones, all from rivals who dared test the strength of the King. As soon as the blind man came into view, Ichi called him over, beckoning him impatiently with a human-like hand. “ Come here human, come. Stand before me. “

[col]Matsu crept along the floor that felt cool to the touch. A nice respite. For a while, as the darkness overcame him, he would simply lay there and enjoy being without. It wasn't like he hadn't navigated the dark without his vision before. He just wanted for this to end in some way. Maybe there would be some point to what all he had done. Maybe there wouldn't. It didn't really matter at the end of the day. It would be a story to tell and people would likely find him as insane as ever. Slowly he would begin to make his way across the floor once more. Once he felt confident, he would lift his body off the floor and crawl on his hands and knees. He couldn't see a damned thing, but it didn't seem to matter. Eventually a voice beckoned to him. His head would lazily point in that direction before he would lift himself completely off the floor. He would stand, shakily, before walking in the direction of the voice. He would put his feet out to make sure he avoided stumbling over and table or benches might be in his way. He would tilt his head up towards the voice and simply nod. "Is that you Kudo? Are you playing another trick on me? I would very much like to return your knife. You didn't give me enough time when you sent me down here. Just...poof."

Carefully, Matsu would remove the knife from his pocket and take a knee, raising the knife up in offering. He really didn't actually know what was going on. Regardless, he was kind of a giant idiot. He often had a one track mind when he wasn't hunting or fighting. This whole endeavor was completely outside the norm for Matsu. It was quite enjoyable thus far. He was overcoming whatever got in his way, even this blindness."Are there more tests? It feels like every step forward I am losing something else. Are you just going to take everything from me until I die? I had thought there was a sense of respect..." Matsu's voice somewhat trailed off. He was actually disappointed. Despite his complaints against Kudo and being angry, he thought he had finally met someone who was able to share in conversations about metallurgy and crafts. So, there he stood, blind in front of a king without even knowing it.

A long, brown claw roughly scratched above his forehead as he watched Matsu, pondering the creature him. He was dressed rather strangely, and, to Ichi, he looked more bird than human. Was he dressed ceremoniously? Surely Kudo wouldn’t a bird worshipper to his attention. ‘Those rotten bird’s have passed me off enough. If he's for them I might suck the marrow from his bones.’ An ugly grimace was on his face as he eyed the man, his tongue intermittently bursting from a set of mountainous teeth to prod the air; a great, plum colored tongue. He didn’t think much of Kudo. He was too friendly and was always ready to drag a human before his throne. The younger generation, frustratingly, had a much more favorable view of humans than his peers.

Then why bring him? Ichi watched Matsu, impatiently scratching at a particularly hair patch above the place where his Gooch, to be anatomically precise, would be. ‘Damnit,' he thought as he clawed at the nuisance area, ‘This damn armor isn’t comfortable at all. And to think I put this on for a bird.' Whatever the reason, Ichi was quickly losing interest. The purple and forked tongue slid over his right eye, skillfully avoiding any reaching strands of hair as he listened to Matsu. When he drew the knife, dozens of other weapons were unsheathed as well, a high-pitched echoing filling the cavernous throne room. Ichi lazily waved off his guards.

Matsu finished and Ichi rose, standing to reveal all of his glory, so that even the blind may be able to see. He was tall, around ten feet, with massive, sinewy muscled stretched over every inch of his large frame. Over a barrel chest, he donned a rather handsome breast plate with a myriad of seemingly precious stones and jewels. A much simpler headdress of feathers covered much of his head, though tufts of Grey hair crept near his temples. His loins were covered with an haidate dyed purple, with perfectly color coordinated purple suneate of the same material. Scars littered his course, hairy skin, from his large hands to an even larger pair of feet. He began making his way towards Matsu, grinning widely.

Chuckling roughly, Ichi spoke: “It is not Kudo, but it is one who is greater than he. Kudo seems to have taken a liking towards you, however. He put in kind words for you, Matsu the Beast Slayer. “ As he made his way towards Matsu, the ground grumbled, as if the rocks themselves were angry to bear the load of Ichis's weight. The walls voiced their frustrations too, echoing the curses of the ground. “Impressive, “he lied.

He folded his hands behind his back, now within inches of Matsu. He looked down smugly at the kneeling man. “You may keep the toothpick, by the way. I’m sure Kudo has plenty more to give to random humans who happen to be digging in tunnels. “ He sighed. “Alas, you are here. In my courtyard, here before my throne. So, no, there will be no more tests. I think you'll find that I'm rather direct. Yes, you come here speaking of respect, yet you kneel there dressed as a jester. Shall I take you for a fool?” His breath smelled strongly of onions, garlic, chili powder, and raw horse meat (a delicate nose could, in fact, discern that the smell of raw horse meat is the smell of hot ass and thighs running through a field of tall grass and wildflowers).

Ichi walked back to his throne and sat down again. “Remove your costume,” he said while smirking.

[col]"Perhaps, to you, I am. It would be most appropriate. I came here with no sense of reason." Matsu placed the knife on the ground and lifted himself from the earth still blind. He had felt the world around him shudder and knew that deference was the best course of action. Matsu sighed and removed his hat, dropping it aside. His mask came next to reveal part of his skin. The area around his eyes had Runic Terran warding seals etched into the flesh via the way of tattooing. Next would come the under wrappings around his face and head. At this point it would become quite obvious that Matsu was hairless. He had no facial hair, nor eye brows, nor hair on his head. He was completely bare. From there came the rest of his trappings. Backpack, vials, belts, cables, ropes, lanterns, and more were shed and placed as neatly as a blind man who had only spent less than an hour blind could manage.

Before the massive lizard and his throne room would stand a man who was not very tall. He was 5'10" at best on a good day when he wasn't lazily hunched. However, for a human he was quite muscular and well put together. Every inch of the man, however, was covered in ink that he believed was warding off some various monster or bogeyman. There were inscriptions of his lineage and his family and if one looked closely for long enough then the text seemed to shift ever so slightly and the meaning of the tattoos would simply change. He would close his eyes and await whatever judgement might be before him. If he were to die in this room there would be next to nothing he could do.

Near him, his sword sat upon his pile of clothes, crying out to be near its master. It wished for his essence to pour into it and called to strike down those that wished him ill will. He simply sighed and ignored its cries. It would drive him to sanity one day, for he was sure of that.

Ichi scratched at an area underneath his breastplate without much thought, the blind man before drawing the bulk of his attention. Looking Matsu over he nodded. He wondered how the man was feeling, for his body language offered no window into his state of mind. The way he stood there, emotionless and willing, was reminiscent of many a lizard warrior’s face before it met a cruel and violent death.

‘So he has guts huh,' Ichi thought while he smirked, sharp and jagged teeth protruding from his large jaw. Hundreds of men had stood in the very same place as Matsu, many of them cowards and weak. Being full of anxiety, they would empty their bladders and colons whole whimpering at his approach. Indeed, Ichi possessed a very dense and overbearing aura which he didn’t mind using to intimidate those who he viewed as weak or unworthy.

Matsu, however, was different. Ichi eyed the man curiously, yellow eyeballs darting about in their sunken sockets. In fact, in Ichi's opinion, the blind man's appearance was closer to a lizard than a human. He was abnormally hairless for one of his race and was completely covered in strange markings. Ichi understood the man’s need for his mask and other accessories.

“How odd it is that I, the abnormally hairy, meet with the abnormally hairless! Now that we can see each other clearly, let us talk.” He smiled as his tongue lashed at the air. “Actually it is not odd that we meet, seeing how it was I who called for you. You were given tests and you passed them, eventually leading you here. This and other things that are less interesting are why you are here. As he spoke, he articulated with his tail and his hands. “You are impressive Matsu. Even as you stand before a mighty king, only a fraction of your abilities available, you do not waver nor is your will shaken. You seem like capable warrior. What are these markings on you? Is it from these that your power come?”

As he spoke these last words, he looked at Matsu's sword from the corner of his eyes.

[col]A king, huh? Matsu had no idea whatsoever. He simply stood, blind, and unawares of the world around him for the most part. He could hear when the blades were lifted, but he cared not. He would either live or die in this place. There he stood, weaponless and naked, before a massive lizard that he couldn't make out if he tried. He would stare blankly ahead as all good soldiers did when they were at attention and he let the words sink in for a bit. He clicked his tongue once as he thought and he would be noted that the inside of his mouth also had these markings. Shortly after he would shake his head and tilt his head directly in the direction of the voice. "I am empowered by my ancestors, at best. These tattoos are simply one of my professions. Imbuing them with chakra just makes me feel more at ease. They offer me nothing but my own sanity. Likely, I lost that long ago or the world around me is falling deeper into the other direction" were the words lacking of any emotion. He simply did not care, but aimed to keep his sentences as short and to the point as possible.

He would continue to stand, he too aching for his blade to some extent. "It may be my worship of the sun or simply that I have survived so long. I make it a point to live. One of my crafts. Especially in the shadow of what we call a king." There he spoke of his cousin, Sousuke. They were so very different, yet so very alike. He assumed that his cousin had met such fantastic beasts as well. Well, Sousuke might consider them above him or equals. Matsu just knew his place. Turns out, the world was a lot bigger than he once thought where there were other races such as this that held far more power than he ever could muster. "I appreciate your mercy. I am glad that I have been worthy of your audience thus far. I am humbled that I have passed your tests to this point. I do apologize. I know not what you can hear, but if that blade makes you uncomfortable you can have it leave the room. It likes to drink deep of essence and is insatiable...though, it is likely just a physical extension of my own arm..."

The king’s head tilted stiffly towards the sword, “No, no it's fine,” he said dismissively. “Singing swords do not bother me. I have heard stranger sounds from stranger things. In fact,” he paused briefly, taking a moment to scratch at the area around his areola. “I would be more wary of a sword that was silent. Your sword shall have your essence soon enough.”

“But,” he continued “you. You worship the sun?” Ichi laughed. “How ironic! Yes, ironic indeed. You, who dress like Death himself worship the sun? “ His mighty back heaved as he laughed. “Such a gloomy boy. A split image of your god. Oh my, an ironic blacksmith ,” he laughed, recalling a conversation Matsu had with Kudo.

His laughter ebbed and his tongue nipped at his eyes gingerly. “You remind me of myself, minus a couple of centuries of course. So dark. Perhaps because we both grew up in the shadows. You're speaking of the Kazekage, correct? I too was raised in the shadows, though mine were siblings. And their shadows were so large because I was so small back then. In the same way that your sword sings to you, my throne croons to me. Both it and I started off small. But I have grown brighter, I shine brilliantly and I no longer live in shadows. I create them!” With these last words, he let out a growl and clenched his fit.

Ichi beckoned for a guard with his finger who came scurrying over quickly. It offered Matsu a scroll of parchment , holding it open nervously. “Is this what you would do. Matsu? Burn brighter than the sun you worship? Create your own shadows?” He stared at Matsu, unblinking.

[col]Matsu nodded as he listened to the King speak. It was a very similar story. "Yes, I worship the sun. It is something one aspires to when trapped below for so long. Taking my first steps onto the surface only to be punished until I could grow stronger. It was worth of my adoration. At the time. I don't know anymore. I've gotten pretty far on my own or so it seems." There was a bit of disbelief in his voice as he spoke. It was as if he didn't know if he should be there or not. He just sort of happened into it on his own merit. You know how you sort of just luck your way into your favourite restaurant or manage to not get stabbed in a dark alley? Just like that. A fluke, maybe. Destiny, probably? "I suppose I would burn brightly in my own way. I do mean the Kazekage. He is my relative. It would be nice to step above him some day. Him and I do very different things."

Still unseeing, Matsu stood, but was alert to those that had grown close to him. He knew not what was going to happen when they drew close. He felt like this other individual wasn't going to just have one of his lesser minions kill him at this point. If he wanted him dead, he would have already been dead. "If I were to shoot for the stars, I'd become a god among people myself. I would do this and glow as brightly as one possibly could if able. Though, I know this is not a thing I can do on my own. Like your court, it is good to have others as allies, yes?" While Matsu was ambitious, he understood ambition only took you so far. You needed to have people close to you and able to help you or you would simply fall under the weight at some point. He was amazed all the same that the Lizard King could potentially hear his sword screaming for him to pick it up. It was a devilish thing that would drive many of his ancestors to suicide or worse. He, now, was lucky that it simply gave him clarity. Though, in this moment, were things really that clear?

The scroll was before the man, containing an agreement to be met in blood. If he so wishes for this covenant to be true, he need only to mark his signature in his own life source. The king laughed as the scroll was laid out before him. At that moment more of his servants came to free the man. One with his equipment and allowing his sword to return to him if he may do wish.

"Go forth, make your decision! You the son of Death who worships the light! Our covenant will be sealed in blood, a bond forever until it is severed, or until we meet in the after life! Bahahaha!"

The king reached a massive arm behind his neck and began to scratch with a loud yawn that would rattle the room around them. His servants would shiver, and look toward the man, wondering what his decision would be.

"Do not feel obligated to do so. I understand if you have come all this way, and would change your mind, but boy, listen to this."

The King would lean into the man slowly, stroking his face.

"You are quite the interesting one. Right? Well, decide! Bahahaha!"

[col]Matsu thought, still blind and not having that removed from him, that it was more or less something he could do. What was the worst that could happen in such circumstances? He would remove the knife that he had essentially been gifted and with his right hand plunged it into his left. With a sickening pluck, the blade was removed and blood spilled onto the floor. Grasping where he thought the item in question was, he would place his hand upon it likely only to spill blood everywhere around his hand print. Matsu was not the smartest of men, but he understood a loosing situation. This would be one of those. Slowly, as he stood, his hand would begin stitching itself back together. He was gifted, after all, with the blessing of the son. He had no need to worry about being wounded for too long. That would just be silly.

"I doubt you'll die any time soon so that seemed like a fine deal. You sound massive so having someone like you to work with seems reasonable. Mutual favors and all that." Matsu continued to sound relatively uncaring because the truth of the matter was that he didn't care. It seemed like the absolute best option given everything he went through. Make a deal with...who knows what or leave empty handed? The latter option seemed absolutely moronic opposed to somewhat moronic. He would lift his head up to where the room vibrations were coming from and simply smile as he waited. He was grateful to have his things, but he was still currently blind. He currently didn't much care for that part of the equation. "Perhaps you can return to me my sight. I'd very much like to see how far I've come. Doesn't do you much good to know where you've gotten without it. I can only know so much."

He would then wait. What else did he have to do in this situation but hope for a swift death or a long life. For now he would simply stare blankly with a dagger in his right hand and blood pooling at his feet from the left.

The king burst into laughter almost forgetting all that he had took from the man, in order to have this conversation to build trust. His tremendous howl of laughter would once again rattle the cave they were in, even his minions shivering in fear. Ichi held his belly as he did and slowly recollected himself, wiping the corner of his left eye. He would reach out with a finger and a long talon. The tip would meet the man's forehead, restoring his arms, his ninjutsu, his sense of balance, and the light to his eyes, from the corners into the middle.

Ichi: "Hahahaha! Boy! I almost forgot!!! Hurry, fetch him a new scroll. Now Matsu, human lord of the darkness. Your decision, will you form a pact with us?"

Once the man would collect himself, he would see many four foot lizard minions, complete with a dagger and short sword. When he would lay eyes on Ichi, he would see a massive lizard, who looked like a Komodo dragon complete with armor, a brilliantly jade breastplate, jade arm and leg guards. A giant scimitar, mythril and emerald fused colors made this his prized jewel, the sword lay upon his armpit rather relaxed. Ichi was reclined in an enormous chair, large beady black eyes scanned over Matsu. The lizard minions retrieved the bloody scroll, replacing it with a new one, once the man made his decision.

The cave around him would contain golden artifacts, jewels, other precious stones, a wall of hieroglyphic messages from the distant past, containing endless amounts of history of the lizard race. His eyes would be amazed. The past overlords would be engraved into the walls, religious quotes and stories of old, and they all glimmered in a neon against the right light. Ichi would reach across himself and gently scratch at his belly, sighing deeply. He hoped this human would hurry, and if they would decide to make a pact, that he'd finally get some exercise in the other worlds.

Ichi: "Yes or No, or I will send you back to your home regardless. Bask in our races' glory, decide for yourself."

[OOC: We are just about done here, in your next post you can decide whether to accept or deny the contract. Upon acceptance, I'll send this to my higher ups for proof of completion. Akujin or myself will be contacting you on the good news! Sorry for the inconveniences you had to deal with on this search but things happen but overall, I hope you enjoyed the adventure!]

[col]With his still bleeding hand, there was no real question. He signed the new one in blood, unlike simply smearing his blood all over the place. Everything he saw in the room was far more interesting than Kudo had described about the cave. He was an artist and this room simply cried out to be observed. He looked around trying to take all of it in, but he knew that it was likely that he would not get all of it into his gaze. "It is quite amazing. I do hope you'll have me back. I would very much love to learn about the craftmanship here." All of the actual craft was beyond his comprehension in its creation. Well, maybe it wasn't that he couldn't comprehend. Maybe it was more of a wanting to actually hold such things in his hands to understand them better. The marvel upon the gigantic lizard before him was enough to make him want to kill everyone in the room to get his hands on them before his skull was crushed. He sighed. What a curse to know such things exist to only be sent away.

"Amusingly, I now wish I had still a lack of sight. Yes, is the answer, if it wasn't obvious. I will sign this contract. I think I'd benefit well working with you and I am sure I can make myself of use. I suppose you'll be kicking me out now, won't you?" A small smile spread across his face as he grabbed his clothing and armor, putting them on as quickly as he was able while ensuring he would be protected from the elements when he left. He had no idea what harsh world he would be ushered back into and he wished to be prepared. "It has definitely been a journey well worth my time...Anyway, I hope I was worth yours."

Ichi was pleased to here the man would be accepting of the covenant, and so he signed. Ichi would smirked and the minions would praise. Ichi would bellow another laugh hearing the man's comment of being blinded again. He scratched at beneath his breast plate again, before reaching out and pointing to a door.

"That's the long way. Or I could just..."

He would reach out to touch the man's forehead to knock him out, and simply just warp him back to his own land. Ichi would bellow again, his laughter rattling the cave as he did.

"We will see each other again, ruler of the darkness, worshipper of the light. We will now follow you, wherever you go. Our covenant had been made in blood, and will last forever."

Touching the man's forehead he would have blanked out immediately, being transported by minions to where he first began, before this adventure to making a pact with a lizard.

[exit, you should be good to go now.]

[col]Matsu would gasp as he lifted himself from the floor of the cave. He would look around and sigh as the luminescent crystals cast light down upon him. It must have all been a dream. He had no real time to make a snappy comeback was reminiscent of dreams of such a nature. He never got to have the last word in. Simply just a loser in his own dreams. What a waste of thoughts. He would lift himself up off the floor and look around. Gathering his items that were somewhat scattered from his person, he would begin to make his way up and out having made no real progress. No dead Carnasaurs, no feathersteel. Just an unconscious trip through his own mind, or so he thought because he'd gotten careless and fallen off this obviously unnatural stairway. Slowly and carefully he would take himself out of the cave to head back through a somewhat familiar sandstorm. Perhaps he had seen it in his dream. Pulling his mask down and tight, ensuring that he was sealed in, Matsu would begin to head back towards his home. Perhaps when he arrived, his pack would have some sort of surprise for him. All along the way, however, he'd be watching just in case to make sure he wasn't being followed. After all, talking lizards couldn't be a thing. They weren't really going to be following him. They weren't real, right?
