Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Episode #3
Day: Tuesday
Time: 08:05
Location: The Desert Expanse
After having an unusual encounter earlier in the week, the "Expendable One" would make his way toward the point of investigation. While Sunagakure was in need of reinforcement, the abundant missions couldn't be haphazardly flung about to anyone willing to accept. A certain level of tact and professionalism was expected from the operatives performing assassinations, espionage, and subterfuge. Those were the kinds of delicate matters the establishment reserved for their most loyal if not for their most powerful, and the near shambling Junnan was neither. Instead, he was technically a criminal and a liability completely at the mercy of those charged with handling his capture. It wasn't that he had proven to be a malicious or bad person, but the deaths of the wicked were valued just as much as the lives of the innocent and nescient... At least such was true in an environment where the wealthy rubbed elbows with the cruel for gains. "Fuck Soon's Haven, man!" He had grumbled along the way.

Once he had reached the settlement in the darkest hours of the night, it wasn't hard to accomplish the mission. During the day, the bustling hub would be filled with merchants and clients from far and wide. It was nothing in comparison to Soon's Haven's bazaar, but a sight nonetheless. At night though, most of the people were locked away and the few stranglers that remained were usually up to no good. Junnan's swart pigmentation and stygian adornments made him near illusory to the senses of the untrained in shadows. This granted him both the element of surprise and psychological dominance of circumstance. Useful even if intangible, tools, were they for a man who's strength and life seemed to decay. While sharing the likeness of an imagined ghoul had its perks, it could also draw aggression and perceived notions of frailty. He himself knew not what he was capable of, but a feeling of exhaustion and weakness weighed heavily on his spirit. Pushing his limits didn't wouldn't appear wise.

After a few hours of stalking the shadowed alleyways, and stepping over garbage, his eyes locked onto a scene before him. There were was an overweight man dressed in a sharp suit, smacking a skimpily dressed blonde further down the ally. The man looked rich, rich enough to feed himself to obesity and dress himself in fine fabric. The gold-rimmed glasses seemed a bit much, while in comparison the woman barely had on much at all. If anyone knew what was going on in the city, it was sure to be a high roller like the one mistreating the young lady. "Excuse me!" He shouted, waving frantically with one hand and using his other to throw his voice further. The woman whimpered and the man froze mid-slap, Junnan's dark appearance made it so that his eyes and smile were the most prominent things. "What the-?!"

The guy didn't get a chance to say much more, Junnan closed in on him and all went black. The sound of the woman fleeing echoed throughout the darkness as heels clicked against cement. After about a half an hour or so, Junnan was standing there holding up the man by the collar of his suit. The would-be 'pimp' was bloodied and battered, with half the skin on his face apparently having been peeled off somehow. All the signs of interrogation were there, and the gains were locked in Junnan's mind for the time being. The man was apparently the owner of a club just a few blocks away, and the illness sweeping the area had taken some of his girls off the market. They all made mentions of having a red cloud sweep over them, causing itching and irritation of the skin before the fever began to truly set. From what he gathered, the recurring cloud's accompanying the spread made a natural plague improbable. Something or someone was behind this.

Letting go of the fat bastard, Junnan turned to walk away, but stopped and looked at the bleeding oaf. With a sigh, Junnan began stomping away at the skull and wouldn't stop for some time. When he eventually met up with the agent from Hidden Sand Village, sand clumped under his right boot as it caked to the gore and blood. The agent was cloaked and covered from head to toe, and whether or not it was truly his appointed messenger or an impostor was of no concern to him. He did what had to be done, but more would be required of him. The agent did not speak, only giving him a small nod before literally melting into dark liquid and seeping into the earth. He knew the mission wasn't finished, and that locating the epicenter or area of highest infection rate would lead to more answers. What a day...
