Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

One leg would now cross over the other as the young woman would observe over the gathered crowd of people here. Of course they'd treat her like some sort of important figure here-- Jokes on them, though, because Haru knew that Haruka would've come to this place whether or not she was wanted. After all, the young woman was very curious as to the development of the country's brightest and best. With her elbow planted against the arm of whatever chair she was sitting in, she'd watch with dazzling golden eyes. There was simply nothing like watching the youth of a nation go after one another in the sake of sport, eh? What the shinobi world considered sport was. . . well, nice, right? Hahaha, oh dear. Soon there after, the Daimyo would push herself up to a stand and she would step closer and closer. She felt so far away from the heart of the action. Was it that they thought her frail and that she'd end up swept away in such a crowd? Well, those coordinators were wrong. She wanted to be closer to the action. Grabbing onto the protective railing of the little booth, she would move to swing one leg over the rail and suddenly. . . She'd feel a hand grapple at her shoulder.

<COLOR color="#9922AA">"Hey! What are you doing? Have you gone crazy?!" It was only natural that Maiya was looking out for her sister. . . After all, something had been absurdly off with the woman here as of late. She just didn't know how to place her finger on it. She could feel it in her bones, though. There was something way too wrong with her dear sister. "You can't just do shit like this, Sis. You know who you are? You're going to make people piss their pants in fear." Maiya would furrow her brow now, though. . . There was something darker here. It felt way too strange for her tastes. Ripping her hand away from Haruka, she'd notice the older sibling turn to take a look at her.

It was in her eyes. Whatever had been. . . "Lurking" as she would always put it. . . It was there. Why? She wasn't sure.

"Oh, shove it, Baby Sister." Haru would laugh now, reaching out with absurdly fast speed. Her hand would now grasp onto Maiya's wrist and using a bit of her strength, she'd make Maiya swing around onto her back in a 'piggy back' type of position. "This'll be fun, I promise." Holding onto her sister's legs, she'd use her foot to propel the two away from the booth, and down to the levels below. She wasn't lying when she said she wanted to be closer~. Maiya, though, didn't really seem amused with the events, screaming her head off and nearly strangling her as they made their descent. Hell, it wasn't even that far! Crazy kid was always afraid of heights, though.

Swiftly, the young woman and her sister would now drop down to the lowest and closest level in an empty space, and she'd pace forward, letting her sister down off of her back--- who immediately dropped down to her knees in a shaken panic.

"I-I REALLY hate you, whatever you are."

"I'm your sister, aren't I?" Queue devilish smile here.

Looks like it was time for her fight, it was fortuitous really, get her fight out of the way, allowing her to watch the other fights with complete focus. Unless she was extremely injured....or burned, which was a very high chance possibility since she was fighting Chi. Though, fighting Chi was preferable to fighting someone like Oyochi, that guy was kinda creepy... snapping herself out of her trance, Harumi jumped out of her seat landing with a cloud of dust in the arena, standing square with Chi.

'Yes! Keep your cool attitude, Harumi, keep your cool....' She thought as a sort of mental check. She was trying to put off the air of confidence, not the giddy excitement she had kept down inside her.

Looking over to Chi, she looked how Harumi felt, absolutely bubbly. Harumi cracked a smile and says to Chi. "Hey Chi! Long time no see, sort of... anyway, I'm going all out this time! Don't hold back, cause if you do, I'm putting an arrow in your other shoulder!" She shouted smirking, happy with her trash talk.

Readying herself, she slid her legs away from each other stopping at very specific stance. This fight was different from their sparring in the proving grounds, this time she was out for blood. No serious damage, but she was going to win by any means, short of killing the other girl. Not killing her was going to be hard, shooting her sharp arrows at an opponent wasn't exactly non-lethal. Sliding Yukrai from it's resting place, slung around her back, she prepared her self for the fiery hell that accompanied Chi's presence. Harumi was gonna blot out the sun with her onslaught.

Signalling for them to begin, Souji would take a look at them both. They were strong. He could feel their chakra. Strong for their age, it was scary to think what they could become if they were brought up right. So Souji would take heed to his refereeing, mentally taking snapshots of the fight and managing them to his advantage. He would make sure he called the ones that caught his eye. But before he knew it the fight had started, great sportsmanship in the beginning.. but their fighting was like their were complete enemies. Souji'd summon a crystal eye to make sure he could see everything that was going on.

It would seem quite even with Harumi's strategy and Chi's brute force.... but Chi's attacks were devastating... The Kogane clan... strong wills of Fire. But this wasnt Fire Country yo!

[legend="[size=4]Student Tournament. HIYAH~![/size]"]Harumi seemed as ready to fight Chi as she was to fight her. It was going to be a good battle, and that became obvious very early on. The two of them had something to prove since their spar ended in a sort of draw. Harumi pulled the same jutsu that Chi used on her, shaking the ground below the fluffy haired girl. However, at about the same time Chi had fired off a few shots of fire that seemed like caused enough of a burn to make the next jutsu she performed more effective. It did, and Chi's thermal maw jutsu actually caused her opponent to start bleeding. However, Harumi also managed to have gotten in a critical strike, ironically hitting Chi on the completely opposite side of the arrow from their spar before.
The excitement in the air fueled Chi's fire and her eyes lit up. Literally, fire appeared on her eyes like it did when she spared with Harumi before. Chi didn't know why it happened, but it didn't hurt half as bad as the black lash from her own jutsu did. "Get ready, Harumi. I was just getting warmed up." The girl would giggle at her own, stupid joke as she prepared for the next stage of the battle. This was her chance to show the village what she was made of. She wanted to show how strong she already was so they could see how strong she had the potential to become. This was her chance. She hoped she wouldn't fail her family who weren't even there.
"So much pressure… So many reasons I can't lose now!" The "future Tsuchikage" would think to herself. "I have to become the best!"[/legend]

*pant* *pant* Harumi audibly huffed, this fight was going....well, it was too early to call it. Harumi had gotten off her shot and it was critical, she could tell. She landed and arrow opposite of the scar she'd given Chi during their spar. However, Harumi wasn't unscathed, she'd gotten burned and was bleeding, same as Chi. She was feeling fine so far, maybe even better. The adrenaline that flooded her system numbed her pain and kept her pumped. Harumi looked at Chi in full detail, despite their distance there was fire in her eyes, little balls of flame that showed intensity on an almost obsessive level. Letting her eyes focus more, Harumi noticed Chi was looking fine, like Harumi.

"You've gotten better, definitely Chi! I've been training too! Let's go, may the better fighter win! and trust me, I intend to." Harumi yelled over to her, preparing herself for the next bout.

[legend="[size=4]Student Tournament. HIYAH~![/size]"]Chi laughed at Harumi's comment, but not in a mocking manner. She laughed in a friendly manner, like she was having run with this battle. The fire in her eyes were glowing bright as she started to prepare a fire ball for Harumi. She saw Harumi pulling back her bow and knew something was coming, she needed this to hit unlike last time when they spared and Harumi knocked into Chi as she was trying to fire off the fire ball jutsu. Her attack hit and Chi immediately went into a different style, sending a wave of fire out to Harumi. Just as she did that Harumi got the better of her and got another critical shot into her. It hurt, but it didn't seem she was bleeding worst. However, Harumi looked to be bleeding a bit more after chi's fire wave.
"I've got you, Harumi. I'm going to win this thing!" Chi noticed the battle was halfway through their time and knew she had to step it up. She sent out another wave of fire that didn't hit as well. Harumi was already setting up for another attack, so Chi switched back to her previous style to draw power from her previous jutsu. Before she could get it out Harumi fired two shots, she hit Chi with the first one but Chi was able to fully dodge the second one before sending out another fire ball at Harumi. Chi shot the fire out just as she started to slip and the attack barely hit her.
"No!" Chi hit the ground but thought quickly. She looked towards Harumi and looked like she was going to hock a loogie at the poor girl, but instead she spit out oil all over the field. The battle was almost over and Chi knew she was winning, time to save as much strength as possible. She got on one knee and slipped a health pill into her mouth (where she was hiding it is unknown, since she's wearing a dress with no pockets) and got ready to body switch Harumi's attack. However, Harumi slipped making her attack, and this made Chi giggle. In the middle of battle she probably shouldn't do that, but she did. When she looked back at Harumi another arrow was coming at her so she quickly used the body switch jutsu and replaced her body with a K-target. When she reappeared on the field the battle was called. Chi had won.
"I did? Wooooooooo!" She threw her arms into the air but her arm that was shot fell back down. The pain made the young girl laugh. "Guess that's what you get in a battle. Scars are part of being a shinobi. Good match, Harumi." She would go to help Harumi if she needed it, even though she only knew two medical jutsu.[/legend]

[legend="[size=4]Student Tournament. HIYAH~![/size]"]The next fight after Chi's was Sabaku versus some girl named Kimi. As she sat in the crowd watching she kept a mystical hand on her arrow wounds. She wanted to cheer for Sabaku but she couldn't move now that her adrenaline had dropped. She had to wait for the bleeding and the pain to go down. Until then she screamed internally for the awkward boy who tried to make her his girlfriend. She didn't mind, she still would think of him as a friend and hope for the best.
"You can do it, buddy." She would say to herself with a smile. It wasn't long before it became clear that he couldn't. For some reason Sabaku wasn't able to hit her no matter how hard he tried, it was almost as if she wasn't there. Chi thought maybe she was using some kind of jutsu to keep herself hidden, maybe a genjutsu like what Oyochi used. It made her wonder what it would be like if they fought, and it seemed she might get that chance. At the end of the battle Kimi was announced the victor.
"I'll have to watch out for her."[/legend]

[Prior to the starting fights]

His lips would curve slightly into a smirk before air was forced out from his lungs in laughter. His sudden outburst of cheerful thoughts could have easily been seen as sarcastic and possibly it was but he had caught wind of something about Sabaku that truly made him all the more interested in knowing the boy. He would settle down his laughter and slowly transition into a more serious face that still maintained a half smirk. "I wonder what possesses you to be so optimistic, it's something that makes me highly curious about you Sabaku." All the while they spoke, the first match-up had been underway and noticeably Oyochi's eyes did not peer away from the fighting of Kyo and Shujinko. He was assessing their abilities and watching for any pattern in their fighting style, anything that could give him a strategic advantage given that everyone here outside the ones who lost could become a potential opponent.

"Sometimes I wonder about the nature of this tournament, do you truly think we are just fighting to test our strengths or could we just be fighting to appease the simple nature of dominance assertion? Think about it, while we spar and take classes our abilities are really not tested until a point such as this....it's as if they are trying to make us hit our limits and weed out the stronger or smarter ones."

[After the next few fights]

He had watched enough to know that his turn would be coming up soon and finally standing up his pupils would migrate towards his handler. Within his head he was already formulating options for various people but was still unsure given the nature of the tournament if what he had seen so far was everything. There were some constants however that he made note of, Shujinko utilized blades and taijutsu whereas Chi used mainly fire based ninjutsu and last but not least the girl known as Kimi who had defeated Sabaku....

His pupils trailed towards where the girl still stood and his eyes narrowed slightly. She would be another challenge completely than the others if even he made it that far. Her fighting style mimic'd his own of deception and avoidance while hints of genjutsu usage ran through his mind. "You can take it off now...I'm not going to go overboard. These fights....are making me to interested."

"It seems like you're beginning to understand a basic human emotion Oyochi....fear of the unknown that is coupled with your drive to strategically act. This should be interesting indeed...". The anbu agent would walk up to Oyochi before forming a quick handseal and releasing the chakra inhibitor collar around Oyochi's neck. Once he was free of this Oyochi turned towards the arena once more and crossed his arms over his chest while looking at the last two combatants.

Soon it would be his turn...either next or after the next fight....

[pre-fight]

The tournament. Kimi still wasn't completely sure why she was there. Sure, she did really well in the prelims. But everything was different now. She had lost all use of her eyes. Still fighting in the tournament couldn't possibly be a good idea...could it? She shrugged off the thoughts. She earned her place there. She could do it. She just knew she could. There was no reason to worry. At least, that was what she thought...until she learned what the other fighters could do. The first fight was rather...simplistic. There wasn't much to learn from it, except to say that the winner, Shujinko, could deal a scary amount of damage. The second battle wasn't much better. The winner of that fight, Chi, seemed to be even more intimidating than the previous. Her fire jutsu seemed to be more than scary. If it was even possible, she could deal just as much or more damage than the previous winner. Kimi would really have her hands full if she wished to win. It was watching the first two fights that Kimi developed her strategy. Everyone were heavy hitters. Their damage output was beyond ridiculous. There was no way she could even consider going blow for blow with any of them. That in mind, she then determined stealth would be her best option. She already figured illusions were her strong point. What better way to go about it than utilizing those to the extreme. Plan firmly in mind, she prepared for her fight. Hearing her name, she stepped forward, noting in surprise that her opponent was none other than Sabaku, one of the students she had taken a class with.

[post-fight]

Kimi was surprised. She hadn't expected the fight to go as well as it has. Her illusions fooled her opponent very effectively. She settled herself on the sidelines, making her way over to where she knew her fellow classmate, and up and coming friend, Kei, was watching. She leaned against the wall, and turned his direction. "Good to see you made it." she smirked. She exhaled deeply, grateful that the fight was over. She was extremely worried about who she would fight next. There was a good chance it would be Chi, the firebreather. That terrified her greatly. Either way, she simply had to win.

Kei watched each fight with intently, a bemused smirk masking his real emotions. Beneath it all he was riding on an intricate balance of adrenaline rush and analysis. He carefully watched each round of combat learning what he could. At the same time though, he was eagerly awaiting his turn to fight. For the most part, he stayed out of the other student's conversations. He needed to make sure not to miss anything. He wondered how he stacked up against them. The second fight proved to be a pretty spectacular show. That Kogane Chi proved to be quite the fighter, her fire ninjutsu looked potent for sure. He would have to avoid her attacks until he got an opportunity to close in and strike. It'd be a tough fight.

Kimi was up next, Kei appreciated the strategy with which she fought. Her opponent's direct and straightforward style just didn't cut it. Sabaku's taijutsu could use some refinement but he definitely had potential. Kimi's abilities however, could be problematic. He didn't know much about them, especially that song jutsu she used. He wondered if the two of them would be fighting in the upcoming battles. If so he'd have to figure out a strategy to beat her. Chi made her way back to the sidelines and greeted him.

"Hey, wouldn't miss it. Good fight, putting what you learned in Hatsuhara-sensei's class to use?" He guessed she was using genjutsu from her interest during class but he wasn't sure. Either way his congratulations were sincere. "Maybe I'll see you in the finals, we just have to make it there." He was ready for his fight, there were already a variety of powers on display in this tounament. He had no idea what to expect when his own fight came around.

Kimi smirked, looking at her classmate. "You know it!" She brushed her hair from her face, out of habit more than anything else. It was an annoying habit she really wanted to try and break, though so far it wasn't working. Even though she had her long hair tied back in a tight braid, her bangs never seemed to want to stay back. Why she hadn't just cut it all off, she still didn't know. But it wasn't as though it got in her way enough to be a huge problem. She sighed, shifting her violin, now safely returned to it's case, from one shoulder to the other. "You lookin forward to your fight?" she inquired, tilting her head slightly. If someone didn't know better, they might even think she was still able to see. Her blindness wasn't an overly talked about thing, and as such, not everyone would know about it. Even so, there was always a chance.

[Pre-Fight]

The announcer had indeed called his name next and while he entered the stage to a few subtle boos, for the most part the audience simply were still riled up from the previous fights to let personal affections get mixed in with entertainment. His eyes would stay attached to the young blade wielder he was paired against and naturally remembered and had core respect for her abilities, which he had witnessed in her earlier engagement with Kyo. She was a heavy hitter which translated into an attacking type in his book, a mental designation he had created for various fighting styles and grouping them in three major categories. While his style resonated more with supportive there was recognition of his disadvantage against an attack type, something that kept Oyochi on his toes from the start. Both sets of fingers would fiddle calmly with his bracers, black chakra momentarily sparking around the binding items before settling down. "For you to have beat Kyo in such a manner only makes you that much more, strong competition." For Oyochi that was as good as complimenting her strength that he would go and as his brother would get ready to signal the start of the match, Oyochi's eyes would narrow as they had a habit of doing and his focus would fixate solely upon Shujinko. While he was confident in his own skills beneath his hair and skull and submerged within the storm that was his inner emotions a feeling of fear cracked his psyche. This fear was not from being scared but being seen as insignificant and without skill by both his sibling and those of his blood who were filtered throughout the crowd.

Here goes...

[Round One]

His movements were made quickly as his bodies muscles would tense up and his stance shifted to one that favored reaction than attacking first hand. It was an innate reflexive action with what he knew visually from the girl and her blade, opting to give up his offensive chances for the ability to avoid and react appropriately against the slashes that would inevitably be thrown his direction. A bead of sweat would migrate south of his right temple from the visual window he held, watching Shujinko draw her blade with movements that matched his own, however while he had been dropping into the defensive posture hidden skill of his up until this point reared its head. While Shujinko had pulled her blade's steal from it's holster, Oyochi's right palm could be seen by everyone weaving handseals in a solo fashion and by the time her blade was fully removed a small an almost unnoticed strain was imposed on her visual cortex.

Lowering his right palm and with the aid of his chakra condensing bracers, Oyochi was able to keep the chakra link imposed on the girl intact without overpowering her senses and causing unfavorable reactions. That was when a ping rung clearly in his ear and drew his attention away from the girl and towards a small but clearly visible metal sphere rolling between his legs. The pupils of his eyes dilated suddenly as he could clearly see one split second only for his vision to become completely white afterwards. "When cid she...!?", while his body naturally reacted with an attempted jutsu of his own due to the jutsu placed prior to the flash bomb going off, Shujinko simply would see Oyochi throwing a similar object at her yet it would not go off...a dud. Instinctively holding his forearm up to his eyes and rubbing, his sensory ability to hone onto chakra alerted him that his opponent had suddenly drawn closer while his sixth sense in unison warned him of encroaching danger. However unable to see clearly Oyochi's pain receptors would tell him what he could not see as he felt a sudden force push itself into his chest. Being pushed back slightly his vision began to clear to the sight of Shujinko's blade swept downwards from her jutsu usage and droplets of a red substance that followed his directional change from the knock back.

He was bleeding from a small gash across his exposed abdomen...

[Round Two]

There was no time wasted from when he realized his wound was real and the fact that he was bleeding was not a mental trick. While his right palm covered his wound to keep the bleeding at a minimum the boy's left palm this time was the one that began weaving handseals solo. It was apparent that his ability to use seals with one hand was compatible with either hand and that he had some mastery over the unusual art form for his age. He needed to affect Shujinko's ability to see him as a viable target, so when his chakra invaded her sense of hearing he fully expected the given effects to kick in and the sudden silence to follow would confuse her to his movements. Sliding his feet against the arena floor, his pupils would focus suddenly as he noted a disruption in the chakra he used to invade the sense and although it was slight it only had one meaning. This was confirmed as before he could settle upon his feet and balance another arc of chakra was thrown from her blade and caught Oyochi on the right leg. Although it wasn't enough force to cause his skin to become wounded, it was enough to rip a tear into his pants and make him feel a jolt of pain that was paramount to having rubbing alcohol spilled on a small wound. With much time already wasted on a plan of his, he naturally had to switch to an already formulated secondary and holding his right palm to his lips the boy's chakra once again invaded one of the girl's senses while she only saw him throwing an energy slashing jutsu back at her and it striking her in the chest. What he had done was worth it at this point, but what was unseen was the fact that he had peeled back her sense of will and opened it up to being easier to invade. Whether or not distracted by the sudden feeling of her senses on the fritz, Shujinko's accuracy with her next slash of chakra would barely hit it's intended target which Oyochi with some level of skill managed to avoid but still produced a scratch against his side.

[Round Three]

Seconds were drawing down fast and he would have to take the offensive and no longer rely on his ability to manipulate and deceive the senses. Skidding to a stop, both palms worked in unison to weave individual handseals. While one combination had finished quickly, his chest would expand before his lips pursed and kneaded chakra outwards from his mouth. A shot of condensed and strangely blackened fire would propel outwards, it's speed and chakra concentration was unlike the normal elemental properties of the fire jutsu. It would strike Shujinko in the chest and while she would see the event as Oyochi once again playing mimic to her actions, this time there would be an intense heat when the slash struck her. His knees would bend as the stream of fire was shut off and through the burn he saw a sudden glint of light from the sun off obvious metal which caused him to react quickly and hold an activation styled handseal to his lips. As the blade would connect to it's target with precision only someone familiar with a blade could produce, the weapon would carve into his side and draw blood....

Before suddenly smoke was materialized and appearing away from Shujinko, his left palm which held onto the handseal before would change the combination. This change would be followed quickly be a sudden glow in front of Shujinko and while the bottom portion of wooden log dropped to the ground the second part revealed an explosive note that already glowed in the girls face. The explosion and shockwave was minor and as the smoke began to filter out and when he was finally able to visually see Shujinko he noted that she was chewing on something....

[Round Four]

It resounded again, that audible pinging sound of metal rung and rattled his eardrum faster than his eyes could close to avoid that flash of light afterwards. A painful surge later from the followed-up slash from Shujinko's blade made Oyochi's eye's widen even though his vision was still white. She was close and that was all his body responded to as his right palm slammed into the ground at the same timing that his left took to weave the handsigns. The ground below Shujinko would shoot upwards in a small pillar of earth, colliding with her mid-section and pushing her back into an upcoming secondary pillar that pushed her even further back. While the last pillar somehow was either avoided due to his visual blinding or due to her natural instincts to move out of the way after the first two strikes, he would hear his brother call a stop to the fight.....

[Post-Fight]

It had been a quick forty seconds however the fight was over before either one of them could deal or subjugate the other into any real damage. The crowd actually stood on their feet and the arena filled with unfiltered applause as both their visions would no longer be inhibited by the flash bomb. With his palm still on the ground, his breathing was heavy as his chakra levels were expended thanks to a few preparations made for the fight however his brother made it soon clear who the victor was. It had been a fight Oyochi would not allow himself to forget but it was one he had lost, by a very very slim margin (79 HP difference xD) and one he quickly understood the nature behind his lost. Oyochi had been caught off guard by two distinct events in the fight which were the usage of flash bombs and that mysterious pill usage Shujinko did. His pupils only kept their focus on the girl and while he did not speak across the arena field to her, between his heavy breathing and drops of sweat Oyochi did offer a casual nod of acceptance. This acceptance was both of the verdict of the fight and acknowledgement of Shujinko's strength to move on. While his Anbu overseer helped him to the sideline back to where he previously sat and proceeded to administer basic first aid for his wounds, his pupils closed and a calm smirk would cross his lips this time fully genuine.

"Not a bad loss...not at all..." His eyes would wince at the tightening of bandages around his midsection after his Overseer had used a simple medical jutsu to stop the wounds from bleeding. "The fight was very close, you should be proud of one thing though. You were able to control your chakra very well in a public stage such as this....it shows your growth and development." He listened to the Anbu agent before exhaling and leaning his head back to stare at the sky above. While his body did feel heavy, he focused upon the drifting clouds of white...

He had a point...he had grown alot.

[Pre-fight]
Shujinko's fight with Kyo had been exhausting. She was battered and bruised from his endless flurry of punches and palm strikes. But given her circumstance of multiple fights in a row, Shujinko was given reprieve with that in mind. She was given a professional healer, whom had closed up all her wounds and returned her to complete health by the time her next round would start. She heard the enthusiastic announcer announce her name to the stadium, as well as a name she had heard pitched around. Kyo had told her of Oyochi and his exploits during a mission they participated in. The information left Shujinko a bit flabbergasted to say the least. However, the girl was a bit more understanding of the actions... Shujinko would have likely pulled her sword on the woman instantly. And he was even younger than her, she'd imagine he just acted in the heat of the moment. She could be wrong, but one had to be understanding despite ones past. That was something she learned from her mother. And she wasn't even aware of the darkness surrounding her father. But nevertheless, Shujinko didn't harbor any kind of dislike or hate for the boy. But either way... now he was her opponent. Shujinko walked back onto the amazingly large stage, once again waving at her arrival, the crowd seemed to revel in Shujinko's return, expecting another spectacular bout of physical prowess. Shujinko nodded towards Oyochi and smiled, a certain fire in her eyes as she took her stance. Feeling her sword's thirst for blood of another ache throughout her body. Taking Oyochi's words in and reflected on them.

'Let's do this.'

[Round one]

Whatever Oyochi was doing, she didn't quite care. She knew her game plan, and was praying to her ancestors that it would win her this match. Shujinko wasted no time in closing the distance between herself and Oyochi. The space between them so much smaller than it was just seconds ago, to where she would swiftly throw down one of her flash bombs, closing her eyes before it made contact with the ground to avoid it's effects. For the most part, she ignored all these 'senses' the body had when she fought. She let the flow of battle carry her through, and Muchimonji would be her light through the darkness. And with Oyochi blinded with Shujinko closing in at extreme speeds, the samurai girl would ram down Oyochi with a full force shoulder tackle. Knocking him off his balance enough to open him up for an attack. Chakra infusing itself into her blade as she made an overhead swing. Her flow of battle was certainly starting in her favor. Her energy wave connected with Oyochi disabled at this time, easily cutting deep enough to start some minor bleeding. With Oyochi's first few seconds of battle being so poor, he might panic and start fighting back harder. When Oyochi would feel Shujinko's attacks against his skin, he could feel some of his energy be sapped away whenever she would land a strike.

[Round 2]

The boy seemed to waste no time in somehow miming her own move and launching it back at her. This caught Shujinko off guard for sure, only for her hearing to go dull for a brief moment. When she scanned around again, she could almost feel<i></i> Oyochi's movements. She immediately caught onto him and began to rush him down once more. Wasting no time in throwing out another Energy Slash with a swift movement of her blade. But it seemed Oyochi was dead set on messing with her mind, because when she followed up with her next strike, she only slightly grazed his pale skin. This was getting a little aggravating.

[Round 3]

The next few seconds seemed to start taking a turn for the worst. Oyochi was really going on the offensive to counter out Shujinko's spear-head fighting style. Her chest now felt really hot, and her sweater seemed to be burning despite being hit by her own 'attack'. The girl was getting a little fed up with this kid's hit and run tactics. So with a renewed sense of fucking shit up, she once again went directly up to Oyochi and would drive her sword deep into his flesh. Feeling a bit satisfied with such a damaging blow, until she saw a puff of smoke and a small log replacing Oyochi's body. Seeing a small paper tag attached to it with a very distinctive sign on it.

"Oh shit."

Was all Shujinko could manage before the small explosion really did a number on her. She was blown backwards despite the smaller blast. But Shujinko was really getting into this. He wasn't exactly fighting her upright, but he was certainly being smart while Shujinko muscled through his antics. With somewhat of a graceful backflip from the blast, she regained her composure mid air and landed on her feet. Using the smoke to her advantage, Shujinko reached into a hidden pocket in her sweater that hadn't been damaged and pulled out a few small pills. Tossing the small capsules into her mouth, she chewed them up quickly, feeling invigorated from their effects.

[Round 4]

The battle didn't feel like it was nearing any kind of climax. Aside from a few burns and tears, Shujinko felt fine. And so did Oyochi for that matter, but it was about time to fix that problem. Throwing down another flash bomb, Shujinko had completely forgotten to close her eyes this time, caught up in the thrill of battle, she hit herself with the blast as well. But she wouldn't let this deter her. Using Muchimonji to guide her hand, she found that Oyochi's body and her sword got to know each other very well. The razor sharp steel seeking into his flesh severely with her powerful strike. And he seemed to react to this, no tricks, by surging 3 earthen pillars up at her. The first one connected with her side and pushed her back, the 2nd hitting her square in the gut and knocking the breath out of her. Clutching her abdomen, she foresaw the final strike and dived to the side. Ready for one more strike, only for the referee to declare to them that the fight was finally finished.

[Post fight]

Shujinko would agree that it was the quickest 40 seconds in her life. Neither child seemed to be that worse for wear, Shujinko's vision returning to her about the same time as the young Oyochi's. The crowd cheering extraordinarily loud for the two combatants. The battle seemed to really impress them once more. But in the end, Shujinko was declared a winner again. From what she could tell, it was a very minuscule margin, as if the distance between them was but an inch long. Oyochi nodded, as if he accepted Shujinko as the winner. She returning the nod with a bow. Getting a little closer so he could hear her over the crowd before he was taken away.

"That was an amazing fight. It's really impressive when you can stand toe to toe with a someone who lives to fight up close. Maybe we could hang out some time when..."

She trailed off when she saw the ANBU overseer. Giving a 'who knows' look and smiled one again before she would skip away. Feeling a little more elated after her very by the skin of the teeth win.

And the roaring of the battles would continue... Each match having its own show of strength and surprise! The crowd was really into it. Souji was calling these fierce battle right down the middle. When he saw Oyochi enter the ring he blinked but he called it as close as he could... the decision came to Souji pulling Oyochi's card determining that he was not going to be good to continue, but it was odd... Oyochi was perfectly fine that match might have skeptics speaking for weeks. Who knew... but it was better that Oyochi suffered the loss now.

"WELL!!! THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS!!! AND THIS IS COMING IN FROM THE NEXT GENERATION OF WARRIORS IN IWA! GIVE'EM A ROUND OF APPLAUSE!!!", and the crowd went into a frenzy... just when that happened Kei entered the arena along with Masaki. And the fight seemed to be going back and forth, Stealth was something that seemed to be used with the kids here today. Either way, Souji was proud... proud of Kimi for her bout, even giving her a gentle, yet strained smile. He didnt do it often, he was wondering when she was going to use the seal... maybe soon. Though as he did that lost in the thought, an explosion happened in the arena.... A pulsing wave of energy which led to a crater being left.... due to Masaki's Smoke bomb just a second or so prior the crowd would not be able to see... but once the smoke cleared Souji blinked. 'That would have hurt me... Geez...' nodding this boy had alot of power to him but lifting his heand he'd declare, "Masaki is unable to battle, Kei is the victor.", and with that they would get a moment to pause and recover.... but an announcement came in suddenly.

"ALL PARTICIPANTS TO THE ARENA!" once they all made it, the crowd roaring grew a bit dull and muffled with murmurs wondering what was to come, ""Alright uhm, due to the time constraints given by the Gods... We will be having a free for all four way.... Now?", the crowd began to gasp, and Souji'd just smirk, this would be quite interesting.

[legend="[size=4]Student Tournament. HIYAH~![/size]"]The next battle after Sabaku's was the one that interested Chi the most out of all the ones so far, even more so than her own. It was Oyochi fighting, against the Shujinko girl. Shujinko, Chi thought, had to be tired after her fight with Kyo. Though she did have a good amount of time to recover with all the other battles going on. She knew Oyochi was strong, and she thought for sure Shujinko was going to lose. Chi watched the battle commence, Shujinko matching Oyochi's blows. It seemed they were pretty evenly matched, which was a scary thought. Perhaps she just got lucky a lot, but Chi had her doubts. At the end it seemed it was completely up to the referee, who called for Oyochi's defeat. Chi sighed, wondering how he would take this loss.
The next battle ended up with one of the participants immediately going into stealth. Chi felt bad for the boy fighting him, he was being beat pretty badly. He couldn't even get a hit in, but he managed to find him only to miss. This guy was elusive, Chi hoped he didn't have to fight him. If she did she'd really have to focus to get any kind of hit in. She may have high damage outputs, but she wasn't the most accurate when she loses her focus. Even when the boy found him his opponent managed to take him out. A large puff of smoke appeared and just after its appearance was a giant boom, and when the dust settled it seemed the he had been knocked out. It must have been a big hit for such a knockout.
After the battle all the participants who were still in were called out to the field. Chi walked up to the field with the others, Shujinko, Kimi, and Kei. It turned out they were going to have a four-way battle instead of finishing off the tournament in one on ones. Chi was curious as to why the change occurred, but she was ready. She seemed to be the most beat up out of everyone, meaning she could likely be the target from all three. She had her way of dealing with the two melee users, but what she would do with Kimi would have to be different. Plans were formulating in her mind already, she was getting pumped. A grin would cross her face.
"Keep your head cool and your hands hot, victory is on the line better give it all you got." She thought to herself, trying to keep herself pumped up as she faced down the three opponents. "Good luck everyone. It's about to get heated," As she spoke the last word fire reappeared around her eyes as she took her fighting stance.[/legend]

Pre-Fight:

Kei was amused, apparently Kimi was a really quick learner. She had picked up on genjutsu really quickly, unless she'd just been pretending to be a beginner. That was good, the two of them would be comrades someday. Fellow ninjas of Iwagakure. The village needed the next generation to be strong in order to protect it. She asked if he was looking forward to his match and his expression suddenly changed into a devilish grin. "Definitely. To be honest it's all I've been thinking about for the last few days." The next match started. One of the competitors, Shujinko, had already fought once today but this match proved far more interesting than their first one. The battle raged back and for-seemingly pretty evenly matched. Suddenly it was over. It was a close match, Kei wasn't sure who won at first.

Then it was his turn. He entered the field across from his opponent, Masaki. A boy he'd met the same day he met Kimi. Well it time to see what the kid could do.
Let's do this. A blade of spatial energy flashed forth from Kei's hand. And with that the fight began.

Round 1:

Kei wasn't going to take it easy on his opponent. He was here to prove himself. He watched carefully, formulating a strategy, as his opponent drew a staff like weapon. Good, another Taijutsu-user. There was more too it than that though. He focused his energy to get out of his opponent's line of sight his body blurring from the speed as he appeared behind Masaki, careful to stay concealed. Electricity crackled along the length of his weapon as masaki lashed out att, what? An afterimage possibly? So Masaki was a Raiton-user too. That was something to watch out for.

Round 2:

So far Kei remained undetected, so far so good. But it wasn't to last, Masaki aimed a strange laser-technique at Kei he spun inclose, using his momentum from the dodge to attack with his energy-blade. He struck decisively- once, twice, thrice- before planting a foot, reversing his momentum, using the opening to follow up with a fourth slash. His heart pounded in his chest as he took a few steps back, preparing himself for Masaki's counter-attack. He angled his blade so that it was between his and his opponent, he could do this.

Round 3:

Suddenly Masaki rushed in. Kei tried to avoid the blow but was struck in the shoulder. He winced as he felt warm blood soak the bandanna on his bicep. He cursed himself for his inability to evade the attack as a smokebomb went off in front of his face. If he didn't do something fast he wouldn't be able to see a thing. Now was not the time for this sort of slip-up. Catching a glimpse of Masaki, Kei's eyes glowed bright green as a surge of power filled him. He pointed his hand and clenched it into a fist. The air seemed to twist from his warping energies. There was a pulse of energy followed by an explosion that almost knocked Kei off his feet. Had he really done that? As the smoke cleared Kei was able to see a fresh crater in the arena as the ref declared him the winner. Kei exhaled in disbelief, he had incapacitated his opponent? He hoped he hadn't gone overboard. He'd have to be careful if he was going to use that technique in the semi-finals. He was here to prove himself, not kill his classmates.

Post Fight:

Kei's heart was still hammering wildly, when he was called to the center of the arena along with the other semi-finalists. A free-for-all? That wasn't what Kei was expecting. He'd have to put the previous fight behind him so he could stay level-headed for what was about to come. Losing now wasn't an option. He pulled the blood soaked bandanna off an wiped his arm clean, revealing his scar and birthmark. The bleeding wasn't serious and was already starting to clot. Still, he'd have to be careful not to aggravate it. His competitors were tough and he'd have to be at the top of his game to avoid their attacks, and with three sets of eyes on him he didn't think it was likely he'd be able to do much stealthing. He took a deep breath, pocketing his ruined bandanna, and went over everything he knew about fighting multiple opponents at once. Lucky for him they would be focusing on each other as much as they focused on him. He looked up at Kimi. "Kimi-chan, you better give me a good fight. That goes for all of you. It had arrived earlier than expected but this was it, the finals. Time to show this village what the next generation was really capable of.
