Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

As the students entered individually into the arena, Katsu looked at them all and smiled at each of them. It was his little way of saying good luck to each and every one of them. Quickly after they all entered, the competition heated up and went down to only four students; two of the students were his own ones he taught. Of course he was proud of them for making it this far but only one of them could move on and win it all. Watching the final four fighting it out, the competition was taking a toll on Kei as he was getting ganged up from the two girls that were unknown to Katsu and Kimi had decided to take a breather and just hang out for a little. It was wise, but Kei was stuck with the assaults of the other two. It was a sad and cowardly move from them, but Kei did seem to have better control of his chakra and abilities than they did and Kimi was going to harm him so he just needed to take them out and leave his friend for the remains. But, that didn't happen as the sword user and Kei both got knocked out and collapsed to the floor where Katsu would've rushed out but the two had been taken care of just like the ones before them had been. Honestly, all the Uchiha Puppet Master was useful for today was to be a spectator closer to the fighting than anyone else and he just shrugged. So be it.

Focusing on the remaining two, he smiled at them both as they focused on each other and began the fighting once again. Much to the surprise of our little Jounin, his student had mysterious markings appear on her...that looked like a curse seal. But, how would she had gotten that curse seal in the first place? The information wasn't adding up, but he just continued watching as the sound and fire ninjutsu continued to be exchanged back and forth between them both. He could tell they were down to their last resorted energy and would need to make this final few seconds count. Watching, he saw barriers being formed by the other female in the fight but they would go for not as Kimi's attacks would go through and hit her knocking her out. The medical shinobi rushed out to the fallen combatant as Katsu himself walked out from his position to Kimi. The eruption from the crowd could be heard as cheering was clearly being shown for the winner of the tournament. Looking at her while he walked, he said: "Let me be the first to congratulate you on your hard fought victories and winning it all. You stood out ahead of your class and have made me one happy sensei."

When he was closer to her, he grabbed her hand and raised it in the air to do things the proper way. He then would let it go and let it return to its natural position beside her and all he could do was smile. True, he wished his students all would've made it to the end and duked it out with one another. But, this was a bittersweet ending for the teacher of Sabaku, Kei, and Kimi.

And it was over, not just for the tournament but for the day... all that would come after was the after party but... for now? This was going to be a grand spectacle of sorts. This was something that would rain supreme for the ages, the first Student winner in the Showcase Tournament! The announcer would stand astonished in the display of those four fighters. They all fought vigorously, they all pushed forth all of their effort to make this not only a wonderful display of skill and power... but to show that Stone's Students were some of the most powerful in the world. Souji would nod lowly and walk over to Kimi before lifting her hand into the air, "Congratulations. Student Kimi, is the winner.", his face still stoically paused in his expression, he seemed unamused, but the fight had his heart racing. Though he never outwardly showed it upon his face. Turning to Chi and bending a knee as he'd help her to her feet...

"You fought well... As one of our Tsuchikage would fight...", his voice was only audible to Kimi due to her sonar but he'd pick her up from the ground and smile, hopefully she would come with, "Medical Assistance needed." after the medical staff would rush to her and heal her wounds, Souji would nod and turn to face the announcer and the Stands. The students had all done such a wonderful job that Souji almost cracked a smile. Though, he would not, for the horrors that woudl ensue on the village and anyone who had seen such a thing would... surely die or have burned retinas.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE STUDENT TOURNAMENT IS OVEEERRR GIVE ALL THE KIDS A ROUND OF APPLAUSE!!!!" the crowd was already going nuts over the tournament. The blazing fire of Chi and the slashing wind of Kimi. The Speed of Kei and the swift Samurai strike of Shujinko. They all made for a spectacle to watch. "NOW WE CALL TO THE ARENA FRONT AND CENTER! TO PRESENT THE PRIZES OF THE VILLAGE!", Souji would nod to the announcer and shift into the shadows over to a small briefcase before appearing back in a time that was vastly slower than any Seikon but top notch above regular Warriors.
RingAnnouncer05.png

"IN THIRD PLACE! YANCHANA SHUJINKO!", Souji'd smirk awaiting the girl to enter the Arena and with her step he would guide her to a podium listed as third before handing her a small scroll. "You are given the Scroll of Diligence.", nodding he'd turn to the announcer who once again let out a Bellowing shout. "INNNNN SECOND PLACE!!! KOGANE CHI!!!!", Souji'd nod before long and he'd open the case again after guide her to the 2nd place mantle. "To you... the scroll of the Intelligence.", Souji's smirk and bow his head before holding out his hand,

"AND NOW YOUR WINNER! Zákem KIMI!!!!" Souji's eyes gazing at the young girl given and already giving her name up to the Gods for the sake of rank. Zakem the name of the pupil. The Name of a Student going through the Academy if they took on the name. (This is not official, I'm just testing it out) Souji'd guide her to the stage and hand her the scroll. "This is the Scroll of Harmony.", bowing low before the three ladies, Souji would step aside and allow them all to be praised by the crowd. Though beaten and bruised... they all were warriors.

"Reward yen will be sent to your homes in two days time...", nodding the announcer would mumble those words but then he'd continue, "AND IN CELEBRATION OF THE TOURNAMENT THERE WILL BE AN AFTER PARTY JUST INSIDE!!!", and with that the tournament was over. Souji'd nod to the three before helping them down from their points in the stands, "You all, and all your peers... You all have done the village proud. I commend you all.", nodding Souji'd turn and shift into the shadows once again before heading to the after party.

[legend="Student Tournament. HIYAH~!"]Chi and Kimi clashed at each other, each trying to earn first place in the tournament. She got some good hits in, but wasn't completely lucky. Kimi missed more but Chi was already down on health because of the damage from her fire jutsus' backlash. In the last few seconds of the battle Chi was sure she had her. She had a barrier of golden fire surrounding her, but when attacked she decided to summon a huge stone wall to block it. The attack hit the barrier and if crumbled, only able to take one attack. Chi would jump through the rubble and come through with a blazing gold fireball, but Kimi had managed to mostly dodge it. It seemed as though she was almost out but she had a few more hits in her.
One hit was blocked mostly by Chi's fire barrier, but it managed to get partially through. Chi was almost in a position to strike again, just a few more seconds was all she needed, but as she turned to face Kimi she saw an attack coming at her. A look of surprise came on her face and it seemed it was too late to dodge. She tried anyway, jumping backwards away from the attack. The jutsu came at her and hit her straight in the face, causing her to arch back. The last words that crossed her head as she hurdled towards the ground and lost consciousness were simply, "Oh poop noodles…" And she hit the ground, out for the count. She had lost this battle, but not yet the war.
She awoke to the sight of the referee, whose name she never got or couldn't remember. She spoke to her, saying that she fought as one of the Tsuchikage would. She would grin a little, still weary from the battle. Her golden, fiery hair would subside and leave her with a mostly charred dress and once again lovable, huggable, long fluffy hair. Her important parts were still covered, so don't be a pervert, Sabaku. She accepted the referee's aid to get up, and let the medicals do their thing with her to heal her up. She was still rather weary, and the sound of the announcer's voice over the intercom made her jump. He was so loud, Chi thought as she moved the appropriate spot to wait for the others.
She didn't look at Kimi or the ref or the crowd. She didn't want to look at anyone, she felt like she had let her family down by coming in second. She felt like she had let herself down. Despite what he had said, Chi didn't feel like she was worthy of being compared to a Tsuchikage. She stared at her bare feet as the announcer called out named. First was Shujinko, the sword wielder. Chi would look up at her on the podium as the ref gave her some sort of scroll. She was curious as to what that was. Her first thought was that it was just a certificate of some kind to say they won each place, instead of medals. When her name was called she would be guided to the podium and handed a scroll herself. She held the scroll in her hand and could almost feel the power behind it. The potential power she could possess with it. She still didn't quite understand what it was, though, that was powerful about this scroll.
After Kimi was praised and given a scroll as well, the announcer said something about an after party for the tournament. Chi wondered if she would go, staring down at her burnt clothes. It was a good thing she stored a spare in her hair (not really). She decided she would go and officially meet the competitors. Especially the other three in the final battle, having only met Shujinko once and very briefly. This was her chance to hopefully make some more friends, though she wondered how Sabaku would be talking to her after what happened between the two of them. She didn't feel awkward about it, but that didn't mean he wouldn't. She remembered his fight against Kimi, seeing her go on to win first place probably wouldn't make him feel any better.
She would shrug the thought off and try to sneak off before someone tried to interact with her. She had a lot to think about: Her future, her present, her family, and her place in the world. She didn't lose, per se, but she didn't win. She didn't know how to feel about the whole thing, or what her family would think about it if they even realized she was in the tournament. The refs words kept ringing in her head as she went to change into a new dress, she stopped off in a bathroom and changed to an orange dress, which to her stood for antisocial. That's what she felt like at the moment, at least what she wanted to do, but at the same time she couldn't resist a party. She didn't know what she would do now, but she couldn't let herself be down because of second place. She knew that. It just meant she had to get stronger so she could come out on top. This was the moment when she knew she was going to become the best someday, using this tournament as fuel for her blazing fires. She came back around from an almost certain defeat to win second place, coming from the ashes like the blazing phoenix that she was.[/legend]

The tournament was over and Kitsune could not help but smile. The one she has been rooting for since the beginning came out on top. Music truly is mightier than the sword. Sometime she will have to meet with this young musician, but that will be for another day. For now Kitsune will leave back to her home and reflect on what she has learned.

Kei was attended by medical ninja who staunched his bleeding as they tended his wounds. All the while his eyes were glued on the battlefield. He hadn't even placed. He made it all the way to the finals only to be the first to fall. The thought left a bad taste in his mouth, mixing with the taste of his own blood. He resisted the urge to spit. At least Shujinko fell right after he did. He cursed himself for not being able to hold on longer. His determination and strategy hadn't been enough. He wasn't strong enough. His attention was drawn back to the battlefield. Kimi and Chi were slinging powerful elemental jutsu at each other. His expression was grim, he was confident he could outmatch Shujinko one-on-one with Taijutsu but those two... He needed to improve his ability with ninjutsu to truly compete with shinobi like that. He had to get stronger, learn to face multiple enemies at once. He couldn't allow himself to fall behind...

Chi was beaten, Kimi was the winner. He remembered the day he met, a new student lost in the academy building, she'd come a long way. He probably ought to congratulate her, it would be immature and petty not to. Still... He was in a pretty black mood. It was so frustrating, all Kei had managed to prove was that he wasn't good enough. He turned to exit the stands. Good enough for what? To be the strongest student? Was that what he was trying to prove? More than ever Kei felt directionless.

Kei. It was his twin brother. He hadn't even thought Sho would make an appearance today, after losing to Kei in the preliminaries. How could you lose? After the preliminaries, how dare you lose to anyone else? Sho's blue eyes were hard and uncompromising. The black-haired brother was so intense, and his words only made Kei feel worse about losing. Yeah, no the med-nins patched me up, I'm a bit sore but other than that all good. Thanks for asking. Look, I'm really not in the mood for this Sho. Kei's twin didn't say anything more, but Kei could feel his stare burning into his back. He didn't have the energy left to fight with Sho. He jumped down into the stadium, landing gingerly on his swollen ankle. Medical jutsu had only taken the the serious injuries away there was still work for his natural healing processes to do after all.

Congratulations guys, you fought well. He lost, no point in being a loser AND a jerk. he didn't feel like sticking around though. He probably ought to make an appearance at the celebrations afterwards but he wanted some time to himself before that. Maybe he was just being introspective ecause he lost but Kei wanted to do some thinking. He was glad his future comrades were pretty strong, but where did this loss leave him? He pushed some snowy hair out of his face before exiting the arena.

I'll catch up with you later Kimi.

A hand went to ruffle the hair of Sabaku. The boy tried so hard, and he still seemed happy after losing. He could tell that Sabaku was meant for great things, and he just hoped he lived for long enough to realize them. With Buru’s head firmly in the lap of the young boy, Hissori started to weave the hand symbols. What he did to the young the boy was nothing just short of a simple healing justu.

The pair of foreign medics both the dog and the chief would sit there next to boy talking to him about little tricks he had learned in the five years he was a main branch shinobi for Kirigakure. When the fight ended, Hissori clapped and cheered with the rest of the stadium.

“That was certainly a great fight wasn’t it Sabaku-san. Why don’t I take you out to that barbeque place in Inner Marushi. You can eat whatever you want.” He said as he smiled rubbing his head again before he offered a hand for him to walk off with him to the restaurant.

Sabaku laughed as Hissori ruffled his hair, it reminded him of the times his father does that. hissori then Healed Sabaku to full strength, he could feel the power returning to him. As he sat there petting buru's head, hissori would invite him for BBQ. Sabaku was very hungry due to the tournament and agreed to go with him. Sabaku was really glad to have made such a nice pair of friends.

The last few seconds of the fight were intense. Both students were at their last legs, and Kimi knew...it was now or never. If she didn't take Chi out quickly, there would be no hope for her. She sent everything she had at the firey student, waiting as the girl fell. From that moment on, everything was a blur. The crowd cheered, the sounds bouncing around the stadium in a confused rage. Everywhere she turned, another villager was showing their support in the loudest way possible. She half registered Katsu coming up to her, though she didn't respond. She didn't even notice it was him until he had already stepped back. Another familiar voice made it's way to her, and she managed a nod. She was the winner..she had an appearance to maintain. The familiar figure of Souji led her to the stage, and she stumbled, before finding her footing. She took the offered scroll in her hands, her eyes staring vacantly in front of her. She was exhausted in every sense of the word.

Once the award-giving was complete, she made her way over to the medical area, barely making it there before collapsing. Her wounds patched up, everything returned to normal. She sat there, caring for her violin, when she heard a friendly voice approach. Kei. She felt a little bad for how he ended up losing, but there was time enough for that later. She gave him a wave, and an accompanying "See ya!" before turning back to her instrument. After the midnight-black violin had been properly cared for, she hopped onto her feet...well, hopped isn't really the right word for the careful, slowly calculated way she moved. Every muscle in her body was sore and aching, every tiny movement a chore. She fastened her violin case back around her back, the faithful instrument safely inside. Time to head home and clean up before the after party.

On her way towards the exit, she caught a faint sound...could it be Souji again? She remembered their previous conversation...his mention of finding him at the tournament to give him her answer, but she shrugged it off. She couldn't know for sure if it was him or not...it was just a faint feeling. More likely than not, he'd be at the after party. She could simply give him her answer then. And if he wasn't there..Well, Iwa couldn't be that big, could it? Besides, how difficult could it be to find a guy who seemed to habitually melt into the shadows...Okay, this could be difficult.

Either way, she headed off to get herself cleaned up and ready for whatever may come next.

After the tournament was over and everything had shimmered down, there was an apparent after-party that everyone was allowed to go to if they wanted to. Shrugging, Katsu walked away from the area for the tournament and begun to head towards where the party was. It would be a good place to interact with the young ones, offer them some insight and even potentially make some new students while he was there. This tournament was one thing, but this party would be something else truly!
